What causes bad breath

Bad breath is a common symptom in life, and there are many reasons for it. For example, not paying attention to oral hygiene, indigestion, and stomach accumulation can all lead to bad breath. In addition, some diseases are also important causes of bad breath, such as oral diseases, nasal diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, etc., which can lead to the occurrence of bad breath.

What causes bad breath

1. Oral diseases

People with oral diseases such as caries, gingivitis, periodontitis, oral mucositis, tooth decay, and periodontal disease are prone to the growth of bacteria in their mouths, especially anaerobic bacteria, which decompose to produce sulfides, emit a corrupt smell, and cause bad breath.

2. Intestinal diseases

Diseases such as peptic ulcer, chronic gastritis, functional dyspepsia, etc. may be accompanied by bad breath.

3. Tobacco, alcohol and other foods

People who smoke, drink alcohol, drink coffee, often eat spicy foods such as onions, garlic, leeks, or are addicted to smelly foods such as stinky tofu and rotten eggs are also prone to bad breath.

4. Constipation

Long-term constipation can cause harmful substances produced in the body to fail to be excreted in time and be absorbed into the blood, causing bad breath and symptoms of self-poisoning such as abdominal distension, loss of appetite, and irritability.

Tips for getting rid of bad breath

1. Tea

Tea can cleanse the intestines and remove intestinal toxins. It is a cleansing of the inside of the stomach and intestines. Due to some characteristics of tea, it can also cover up and remove bad odors in the mouth.

2. Phragmites australis

Take 40 grams of fresh reed root, 10 grams of siler, add appropriate amount of rock sugar, boil them into a soup and drink it 3 times a day for several days to get rid of bad breath.

3. Olive Alum Water

Take 10 grams of alum, dissolve it in 100 grams of water, then add 10 crushed olives, soak for half an hour, and use it to gargle, 3 to 4 times a day, each time for about 15 minutes, use it for 2 to 3 days, and it can generally remove bad breath.

4. Hawthorn

9-12 grams of hawthorn can be boiled into a soup and drunk as tea to eliminate bad breath.

5. Milk

6. Rice washing water
