Tips on how to wear contact lenses

Eyes are the windows to the soul, and protecting eyesight is something each of us should do. The first to be affected are the children studying in school. On the one hand, they face the pressure of further studies, and on the other hand, their eyesight is declining. Traditional glasses are easy to wear. But there is a sense of pressure on the nose and ears. Due to the heavy workload, primary and secondary school students generally wear traditional glasses. For college students who are more relaxed, most of them choose contact lenses. Because they also considered another aspect, which is that contact lenses come in many styles and are very beautiful to wear. For some beginners, wearing contact lenses can be very tiring. Are there any tips?

1. Cut your nails short and wash your hands thoroughly before wearing or handling the lenses;

2. Operate and put on lenses on a clean, flat table to avoid dropping them on the ground;

3 Before wearing the lenses each time, carefully check whether the lenses are damaged, dirty or have sediment. If it is damaged, it cannot be worn. If there are stains and sediment, it must be cleaned and rinsed before wearing;

4. Identify the front and back

It's very simple. Just place the contact lens lightly on your fingertips. If the edge is a perfect circle like a bowl, it is the front side and you can wear it. If the edge is curled outwards, it is the back side.

5How to put glasses on your fingertips

You just need to hold the glasses with the tip of your right index finger. Then make sure the front of the glasses is facing up before you start wearing them.

6 How to bring it up

Make sure your eyes are looking forward, use the middle fingers of both hands to pull the upper and lower eyelids apart, as shown in Figure 4, and then attach the lens to the cornea, as shown in Figure 5. Then remove the index finger and look down to make the lens attached to the eye, and slowly relax the eyelids with the middle fingers of both hands.

7. Check whether it is worn properly

At this time, you also need to use two fingers, as shown in Figure 6, to gently adjust the position of the contact lens so that it fits your pupil better.

Then close your eyes and move your eyeballs left and right a few times to make sure the glasses are beautiful and fit perfectly.

8 Recommended wearing schedule for first-time contact lens wearers

Within 4 hours on the first day

Within 5 hours on the next day

Within 6 hours on the third day

Day 4, within 7 hours

Day 5: Within 8 hours

Day 6 8 hours

Day 7 8 hours

Day 8: 8 hours or more

Experts suggest that it is best to remove contact lenses from glasses during sleep to avoid discomfort.

If first-time contact lens wearers experience slight dryness, photophobia, temporary blurred near vision, foreign body sensation, or magnified or reduced vision, these are normal physiological reactions as long as the symptoms are not serious and last for a short time. Generally, the symptoms will disappear naturally after a short adaptation period. The specific adaptation period required is related to the quality of the lenses and the individual's adaptability, and is generally a few hours to a few days. If the symptoms persist or even worsen after wearing the lenses for a week, the lenses should be removed immediately and the fitter should be consulted.
