What are the causes of cervical cancer? Do I need to pay attention to sexual behavior to prevent cervical cancer?

The cause of cervical cancer (i.e. cervical cancer) is still unclear. A large amount of data from home and abroad confirms that women who marry early, have children early, have multiple births, and have sexual dysfunction have a higher incidence of the disease.

What is cervical cancer related to?

(1) Relationship with sexual life and marriage: Women who have early sexual life (referring to sexual intercourse before the age of 18) have a cervical cancer incidence rate that is four times higher than those who have sexual intercourse after the age of 18. If a woman starts sexual life early and suffers from sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea, the incidence rate of cervical cancer is six times higher than that of normal women. It has now been confirmed that if women have sexual intercourse with multiple men, they are more likely to develop cervical cancer, while virgins rarely develop cervical cancer. Unmarried and nulliparous women have little chance of developing cervical cancer, and the incidence rate of cervical cancer is also high in women who have been married multiple times. Multiple births, perinatal protection and poor delivery process can also increase the incidence of cervical cancer. However, multiple births do not increase the incidence of cervical cancer.

(2) Relationship with spouse Some people believe that if the husband has phimosis or prepuce, the wife is at a relatively higher risk of cervical cancer. If the husband has penile cancer, prostate cancer, or the ex-wife has cervical cancer, or if the man has multiple sexual partners, the wife is more likely to develop cervical cancer.

(3) Viral or fungal infection Herpes simplex virus type II, human papillomavirus, human cytomegalovirus and fungal infection may be related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. However, which virus mainly induces or under which virus coordination is prone to cervical cancer has not been resolved.

(4) Cervical erosion, laceration and eversion Due to the physiology and anatomy of the cervix, the cervix is easily stimulated by various physical, chemical and biological factors such as trauma, hormones and viruses.

(5) People who sit in one place for a long time or do not move for a long time will accumulate toxins, such as mahjong, chess and card activities, office activities, etc. Preventing cervical cancer requires more exercise to eliminate. This is also the majority of reasons.

To prevent cervical cancer, pay attention to safe behavior

The high-risk group for cervical cancer is mainly women with sexual experience, especially those who marry early, have multiple children, and have multiple sexual partners. Take a cervical smear test at least once every three years. The following four points should be noted for prevention:

1. Avoid having sexual activity too early.

2. Reduce the number of sexual partners.

3. Use condoms and other safe behaviors.

4. Getting the cervical cancer vaccine can reduce the risk of HPV infection.

In fact, cervical cancer is a cancer that can be prevented through screening. Many medical studies have shown that cervical smear examinations can reduce the incidence and mortality of invasive cervical cancer by 60%-90%. If women over 30 years old can receive cervical smear examinations at least once every 3 years, it can not only prevent cervical cancer, but also prevent the subsequent development of invasive cancer if cervical precancerous lesions are found and treated early, thus achieving early detection and early treatment.
