Where is the femoral head located?

Even today, when science is developing very rapidly, the mysteries of the human body have not yet been fully explored. It has to be said that the human body is very mysterious and powerful. Take the human skeleton for example. Not only must each bone have the right shape, but also the right size and length. If there is a problem with a certain bone, it may affect the surrounding bone tissue and organs, so where is the femoral head located?

The femoral head is a bone located at the base of the thigh where the hip bone and thigh bone connect. This is a popular saying. This bone is very important. If it is damaged, it may affect walking at the very least, or even life at the worst.

There are three reasons for femoral head injuries: First, trauma accounts for 30%, especially among the elderly. Elderly people generally suffer from osteoporosis. When they are older, improper exercise or rapid twisting of the body can easily injure the femoral head. In winter, the snow is slippery and falls can cause femoral head injuries due to femoral neck fractures.

Reason 2: Taking large amounts of hormone drugs leads to femoral head injury, accounting for 42%. Immune diseases such as lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, etc., will damage the femoral head if hormone treatments are used or hormone drugs are abused during treatment.

Reason three: Alcoholism. If you drink a pound of liquor with a liquor content of more than 60° per week for a long time, the probability of femoral head injury will be very high. Alcoholism can cause many diseases, and it is the biggest risk to health. People with good self-control should believe that science knows the key points and not use themselves as guinea pigs.

For osteoporosis in the elderly, it is generally recommended that the elderly do things slowly and calmly in their daily lives. Especially when you encounter slippery places, you must deal with them in time. Try not to go out on snowy days.

Using more than 30 mg of hormone drugs a day and continuous use of more than 2000 mg is likely to cause femoral head injuries. If hormonal drugs must be used, small doses of short-acting hormones can be used to avoid intravenous injection of hormonal drugs.

The early symptoms of femoral head injury are not very obvious. The main characteristics are dull pain, limited twisting of the body, and limited movement of the lower limb joints. At this time, you must pay attention to early screening. The probability of early cure is very high. If you wait until your activities are obviously restricted before seeking medical treatment, the chances of recovery will be very slim.
