Liver stones treatment

Liver stones are a type of stone and are also a disease that can greatly affect the patient's liver health. Stones are a substance that will grow larger if not treated in time. Therefore, in order to prevent liver stones from becoming more serious, you should go to the hospital for treatment in the early stages of the disease. So, what are the treatments for liver stones? Below I will introduce to you in detail the treatment of liver stones!

1. Treatment of intrahepatic bile duct stones

1. Surgical treatment generally has a good effect, but the effect is still unsatisfactory for patients with stones in the right hepatic duct and accompanied by bile duct stenosis. Postoperative drug treatment combining Chinese and Western medicine is required. The principles of surgical treatment are:

(1) Remove as many stones as possible during surgery and relieve bile duct stenosis.

(2) Complete the internal drainage of the choledochojejunostomy to ensure the patency of the bile duct outflow pathway.

(3) Resection of infectious lesions within the liver. For example, if the lesions are localized on the left side of the liver, left hepatic lobectomy can be performed.

2. Litholytic therapy: After surgery, various litholytic drugs such as methyl tert-butyl ether, caprylic acid glycerol, dextrorotatory limonene, dimethyl sulfoxide, N-acetylcysteine, etc. can be infused through the indwelling T-tube to dissolve residual stones.

3. Mechanical stone removal treatment.

2. Diet therapy

1. Eat more high-fiber foods, such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, etc.

2. Limit cholesterol intake. Never eat foods rich in cholesterol, such as offal, egg yolks, etc.

4. Avoid foods that easily produce gas, such as potatoes, beans, sweet potatoes, onions, radishes, soda drinks, acidic juices, coffee, cocoa, etc.

5. Drinking milk is limited to skimmed milk.
