Is thyroid bone marrow cancer serious in the early stages?

The thyroid gland is a relatively important tissue. Its functionality is irreplaceable. It can secrete hormones necessary for the human body and promote the realization of healthy body functions. However, the thyroid gland is prone to disease under certain conditions, causing great damage to the body. For example, thyroid bone marrow cancer is a very harmful symptom. Let's take a look at how serious early thyroid bone marrow cancer is.

Thyroid cancer is a relatively common and highly prevalent malignant thyroid tumor, but it is also a cancer with a relatively high cure rate. Despite this, it is best to prevent it before it happens.

Symptoms of thyroid cancer

1. Irregular swelling in the neck

The thyroid gland is located next to the blood vessels in the human neck, so thyroid cancer will cause irregular lumps in the neck. You can try pressing your neck with your hands. If you feel a lump that is slightly hard and irregular or asymmetrical in size, you need to be alert to thyroid cancer. In addition, the tumor will gradually grow larger as the disease progresses, and form a noticeable protrusion on the neck that is visible to the naked eye.

2. Throat pressure

The thyroid gland is close to the trachea in the larynx, so if cancer occurs, it will affect the larynx. Usually, the tumor compresses the esophagus in the throat or grows between the esophagus and trachea, which will cause a feeling of pressure in the throat and cause symptoms of difficulty swallowing. As the tumor continues to grow, the compression symptoms will become more obvious, and there may even be symptoms of difficulty breathing.

3. Hoarseness

Thyroid tumors compress the vocal cords in the larynx, which will hinder the normal vibration of the vocal cords, and then cause symptoms such as hoarseness or change in pitch. Severe patients may even suffer from loss of voice. Because cancer cells constantly stimulate the lymph around the neck, there will be symptoms of swollen or painful lymph nodes in the neck.

4. pain

As the disease progresses, the thyroid tumor will continue to grow and gradually compress the nerve tissue around the neck, causing radiating pain, usually with obvious pain in the neck, shoulders, ears and other parts.
