Will cholesterol polyps cause inflammation?

I believe that many people often encounter cholesterol problems in their lives. In fact, high cholesterol will affect the normal blood circulation function of our body, and cholesterol does not only appear in obese people. It may be related to personal diet and the body's digestive ability. What should we do when cholesterol polyps appear?

Cholesterol polyps are cholesterol crystal deposits in the gallbladder mucosa, accounting for about 50% of all polyps. They are formed by cholesterol deposition under the mucosa and mucosal hyperplasia. They usually have pedicles and can easily fall off to become the core of stone formation or a predisposing factor for cholecystitis. In fact, it is not a true tumor. It is unlikely to become malignant, but it may develop into gallstones or chronic cholecystitis.

Cholesterol polyps are often local manifestations of cholesterol metabolism disorders in the body, which may be related to factors such as preference for high-fat, high-cholesterol foods, work stress, and irregular diet. Most people have no symptoms, and their gallbladder functions well. Patients should be followed up with ultrasound every 3-6 months.

Dietary considerations for patients with cholesterol polyps

(1) Eat less high-fat and high-cholesterol foods.

(2) Eat more foods rich in vitamin A, such as carrots, tomatoes, etc. Vitamin A can reduce the formation of cholesterol crystals.

(3) Increase the ratio of protein and carbohydrates in food to ensure calorie requirements and facilitate the production of liver glycogen.

(4) Reducing the fiber content and eating a low-residue diet can also reduce irritation to the gastrointestinal tract.

(5) Increase the frequency of meals to stimulate bile secretion and reduce bile stagnation and concentration in the gallbladder.

In addition to paying attention to dietary adjustments for cholesterol polyps, you can also use gallbladder protection and breathing regulation prescriptions to restore the normal function of the gallbladder.
