Five preventive measures for uterine cancer

Five preventive measures for uterine cancer

Only by mastering the five preventive measures for uterine cancer can we achieve the best results of early prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment.

So, what are the specific preventive measures for the five types of uterine cancer?

Preventive measure 1: People with high-risk factors should be closely followed up or monitored

Patients with endometrial cancer should be closely followed up regularly after treatment to detect recurrence as early as possible. About 75% to 95% of recurrences occur within 2 to 3 years after surgery. Routine follow-up should include a detailed medical history, pelvic examination, vaginal cytology smear, chest X-ray, serum CA125 test, blood routine, blood chemistry test, etc. CT and MRI examinations can be performed when necessary. Generally, follow-up should be conducted every 3 months within 2 to 3 years after surgery, every 6 months after 3 years, and once a year after 5 years. 95% of recurrence cases can be detected by clinical examination, vaginal cytology smear and serum CA125 test.

Preventive measure 2: For patients with a history of precancerous disease and endometrial hyperplasia, active treatment should be given and close follow-up should be performed. If the treatment is not effective, the uterus should be removed surgically in a timely manner. If the patient already has children, or has no hope of having children, or is older, conservative treatment is not necessary. The uterus can be removed directly.

Preventive measure three: When there is a benign gynecological disease, it is best not to use radiotherapy to avoid inducing tumors

Preventive measure 4: Strictly follow the indications for the use of estrogen. Menopausal women should use estrogen for replacement therapy under the guidance of a doctor, and use progesterone at the same time to regularly transform the endometrium.

Preventive measure five: Carry out cancer prevention publicity and survey, strengthen the publicity of health and medical knowledge, and educate women with abnormal menopausal bleeding, vaginal discharge, obesity, hypertension or diabetes to be vigilant, seek medical treatment in time, and get early diagnosis.
