When does a girl's breasts develop

For girls, various secondary sexual characteristics will become apparent during puberty. For example, many girls' breasts begin to develop during puberty, when they are 9 to 10 years old. By the time girls reach the age of 15, their breasts are basically formed. In addition, during pregnancy, the breasts of women will undergo secondary development. Here is some information about female breast development.

1. Infancy

The breasts remain dormant throughout infancy and childhood. However, about a week after birth, 60% of newborns develop pea-sized lumps under their nipples, bilateral breast enlargement, and sometimes even a small amount of secretions overflow.

At this time, you should treat your breasts calmly and do not squeeze or rub them. About 3 weeks after birth, the baby adjusts the hormone balance in the body and the breasts naturally return to normal and enter a dormant period.

2. Girlhood

Starting from the age of 9-10, the breasts begin to develop milk nuclei due to the stimulation of hormones secreted by the ovaries, and then slowly grow larger. Then the mammary glands increase, fat accumulates, and the entire breast develops fully.

Two or three years after a girl's breasts begin to develop, her menstruation begins, and pubic hair appears six months later. This is when a girl enters a period of rapid growth and development.

It is basically formed by the age of 15. During adolescence, breasts are firm and elastic. However, at the beginning, breasts are more resilient because they contain fewer fat cells. Some people may have different breast sizes, but this difference will naturally disappear as the body develops.

During this period, we should seize the opportunity of breast development and assist its development. First, do more chest exercises, such as chest expansion exercises, push-ups, etc., keep your head up, chest out, and abdomen in; second, pay attention to balanced nutrition, do not be picky about food, especially supplement enough fat and water, and be sure to wear a suitable bra.

3. Adulthood

7-10 days before menstruation, the breasts begin to enlarge due to the influence of hormones in the body. When menstruation comes, the hormone level drops and the breasts gradually recover. They return to normal 7-8 days after menstruation.

In the week before menstruation, stay away from spicy food and try to eat light and high-fiber food to prevent overactive hormones and aggravate breast pain during menstruation.

IV. Pregnancy

The degree of breast development during pregnancy is one of the important factors that determine the amount of milk secretion. A normal breast weighs about 200 grams. After pregnancy, subcutaneous varicose veins develop, the glandular lumen expands, the areola becomes darker in color, and the breast volume increases. By the end of pregnancy, the breast can reach 400-800 grams.

Breast massage during pregnancy. It can be performed after 6 months of pregnancy. The method is to hold the breasts with your hands, and massage from the bottom of the breasts towards the nipples, while kneading the nipples to increase their toughness.

5. Lactation

Within 2-3 days after delivery, under the action of prolactin, the secretory activity of each mammary lobule increases, and they secrete milk alternately, causing the breasts to swell and firm rapidly. As regular breastfeeding is established, the breasts will fill, empty, fill again, and empty again on a regular basis.

Postpartum milk is prone to congestion, causing breast nodules and even acute mastitis. Before each breastfeeding, massaging or applying warm compresses to your breasts can help clear the milk ducts. Letting the baby suck the uncomfortable breast more during breastfeeding can promote the improvement of breast diseases.
