Examination of female breasts

Examination of female breasts

In recent years, women's breasts have become increasingly susceptible to diseases, especially breast cancer, which has an increasing incidence and is becoming younger and younger. For this reason, female friends, if possible, must check their breasts regularly to determine the health of their breasts and promptly detect various risks. Below, I will introduce in detail the methods of female breast examination.

1. Self-test method

The breast is an ectodermal organ that originates from the skin and belongs to the superficial structure of the chest wall. Girls' breasts begin to develop at the age of 12 to 13 and are basically mature at the age of 15 to 17. Although there are differences among different races and ethnic groups, the mammary gland is generally composed of 15 to 20 lobes. Breast hypoplasia is essentially a tissue deficiency, so the treatment should be to increase the breast contents, expand the volume, improve the appearance, and make women show their unique curves and charm.

Check in front of the mirror: Stand in front of the mirror with your hands down and check whether the appearance of your breasts is normal. Are the nipples sunken, the skin wrinkled, swollen, etc.? Gently pinch the nipples to see if there is any secretion? Then check your armpits to see if there are any swollen lymph nodes. Finally, raise your hands above your head and repeat this process.

Lie flat for examination: Lie on your back in bed. Those with full breasts can place a small pillow or a folded towel under the left shoulder, put the left hand behind the head, straighten the fingers of the right hand, gently press the left breast, and massage in small circles. At this time, you can imagine the breast as a clock face, and check from the 12 o'clock position in a clockwise direction (you can also use a counterclockwise direction, but the direction must be the same) to the origin, and massage at least 3 circles. Following the above method, use your left hand to examine the right breast.

2. Molybdenum target X-ray examination

Molybdenum target X-ray is a more advanced method of breast examination. It is a specific examination for breast tissue. Molybdenum target X-ray examination of the breast has a relatively high disease elimination rate and good clarity. It can usually detect whether there is hyperplasia or tumor, and whether the tumor is benign or malignant. However, far-infrared breast examination is slightly worse.

Molybdenum target X-ray examination can relatively reliably distinguish between benign breast lesions and malignant tumors, detect breast cancer at an early stage, and even detect latent breast cancer that cannot be detected clinically. It is not suitable for pregnant women or women who are menstruating.

3. Breast far infrared examination

Breast far-infrared examination is mainly used for early detection and differentiation of mastitis, breast hyperplasia, breast fibroids, breast cancer, etc. There are generally no taboo groups of people.

The operation process of far-infrared breast examination: the patient is required to take off his top and expose his breasts. The doctor moves the probe of the far-infrared examination device along the breasts on both sides to see if there are any lesions in the breasts under X-ray.

4. Ultrasound examination

Breast ultrasound has poor sensitivity for early, hard-to-reach breast cancers. Color ultrasound can significantly improve sensitivity.

The accuracy of ultrasound diagnosis of breast cancer is 85% to 92%. Ultrasound below 5 MHz has a very poor sensitivity (49.2%) for early-stage breast cancer that is difficult to reach. The use of high-resolution 7.5 MHz or 5 to 10 MHz ultrasound and color ultrasound can significantly improve the sensitivity.
