What posture is easy to open the cervix

The most important step before giving birth is to dilate the cervix. The faster and more fully the cervix dilates, the faster the baby will be born and the less pain it will cause. Generally, the most commonly used methods for pregnant women are climbing stairs and squatting, but these two methods are more physically demanding. When you feel tired, you can eat a piece of chocolate to increase your physical strength, and be sure to do your best. If a pregnant woman has poor physical fitness, she can adopt other methods, such as doing some simple housework.

① Kneeling position

Place a cushion or pillow on the ground and kneel on it. At the same time, push yourself down on a nearby flat surface, such as a bed or chair. The height can be adjusted according to personal height and comfort. This posture is suitable for the early stages of labor when the labor pains are not very obvious.

② Half squat position

When you feel tired of standing, you can half squat and sit in a sitting position. At this time, the dad is behind, holding the mom's arms with both hands, and the mom just needs to rely all her strength on the dad. This posture is very beneficial for the descent of the fetal head. The prerequisite for this action is that the dad must have enough strength to bear the mom's weight.

③Lie on the ground

Lie on your stomach on your hands and knees, supporting your full weight, and tilt your pelvis back and forth without arching your back. Rest your head on your arms between contractions.

④Hugging posture

If you feel the contractions are very painful, you can stand and lean on your father, hugging him. Keep relaxed and calm, and at the same time, the father should gently massage the mother's waist and back to relieve the mother's pain.

⑤ Sit forward

Spread your legs apart, sit facing the chair back, and get as close to it as possible, as if you are sitting with your arms around the chair. Place a cushion or pillow on top of the chair back so that mom can rest her head comfortably. At the same time, this movement widens the pelvis, making it easier to raise the head and connect it into the pelvis.

⑥ Kneel forward

Kneel down on the bed with your legs apart. At this time, the mother's body should be relaxed and she should put a pile of quilts or pillows in front of her. Half of her body should be crawling on them, with her back parallel to her clothes. She should try to keep her back straight. This movement can help you feel the increased gravity of the fetus and the stronger uterine contractions.
