What are the standard body proportions?

Now is an era where everyone pursues beauty. Obviously, everyone wants to have a good figure. Not only a very slim figure, but also a very good body proportion. Such people look more symmetrical and the overall image will be better. However, in life, we often see people with obviously uncoordinated body proportions. For example, some people's lower body looks obviously shorter, which is very ugly. So what are the standard body proportions of people?

Standard body proportions:

The proportions between various parts of the human body also conform to the golden ratio, and the most standard body proportion is 0.618:1. After measuring a large number of human bodies, the medieval Italian mathematician Fibonacci found that the ratio of the length above the human navel to the height is close to 0.618. Among them, a small number of people with a ratio equal to 0.618 are called: standard beauties. Therefore, when artists create artistic human bodies, they all use the golden ratio as a standard. For example, the body shapes of Apollo, the sun god, and Venus, the goddess, in ancient Greek mythology, are completely consistent with the golden ratio.

The best ratio of leg length to body length is 1:1.5! I've seen it in comics, but the best I've seen in real life is about 1:1.2.

1:7 is the standard ratio.

1:9 is the perfect ratio.

The golden ratio, discovered by the ancient Greek mathematician Pythagoras in the sixth century BC, is a law of formal beauty proposed from mathematical principles. It refers to the proportional relationship between the various parts of an object being 1:1.618 or 0.618:1. Generally speaking, anything composed according to this kind of proportional relationship will show harmony and balance in its internal relationships. Taking the human body as an example, with the navel as the dividing point, the ratio of the upper body to the lower body should be 0.618. The familiar marble statue of the ancient Greek goddess of love, the Venus de Milo, is a typical example.

1. The proportion of upper and lower body: With the navel as the boundary, the proportion of upper and lower body should be 5:8, which conforms to the "golden ratio" law.

2. Chest: Measure the chest circumference from the armpit along the fullest part of the chest, which should be half of the height.

3. Waist circumference: Under normal circumstances, measure the thinnest part of the waist. The waist circumference is 20 cm smaller than the chest circumference.

4. Hip circumference: measured in the front of the body, parallel to the pubic bone and at the largest part of the buttocks. The hip circumference is 4 cm larger than the chest circumference.

5. Thigh circumference: at the uppermost part of the thigh, below the hip fold line. The thigh circumference is 10 cm smaller than the waist circumference.

6. Calf circumference: at the fullest part of the calf. The calf circumference is 20 cm smaller than the thigh circumference.

7. Ankle circumference: at the thinnest part of the ankle. The ankle circumference is 10 cm smaller than the calf circumference.

8. Upper arm circumference: in the middle between the shoulder joint and the elbow joint. The circumference of the upper arm is equal to half of the circumference of the thigh.

9. Neck circumference: at the thinnest part of the middle of the neck. Neck circumference is equal to calf circumference.

10. Shoulder width: the distance between the two shoulder peaks. Shoulder width is equal to half of the chest circumference minus 4 cm.

The beauty of bones lies in symmetry and moderation. That is, when standing, the longitudinal axes of the head, neck, torso and feet are on the same vertical line; the shoulders are slightly wide, and the proportions of the head, torso, limbs and the connection between the head, neck and chest are moderate.
