People should be familiar with the inexplicable itching of the body. There is a reason when this happens to the human body. Some people have it because of their own physical constitution, some are due to allergic reactions, or they are caused by touching something. Itching and numbness like ants crawling on the body is a relatively common situation, but many people don’t know what the reason is. So, what is the reason for the itch and numbness on the body like ants crawling?

First, what is the reason for the itching and numbness on the body that feels like ants crawling? Skin allergy is a disease caused by excessive production of a special antibody in the body, which leads to symptoms such as skin itching. An allergic reaction is an abnormal reaction, which is the body's abnormal reaction to one or more substances. The main cause is that the allergic patient's body produces too much of a special antibody, which can react with allergens in the environment, stimulating the body to produce and release certain excess chemicals, and then producing various symptoms. Medically, allergies are divided into four different types and named with Roman numerals I to IV. The most common of these are types I and IV. Type I is sometimes called "atopic" or "rapid allergy."

For example, the human body will react within seconds after being stung by an insect, animal hair allergies and pollen allergies will react within minutes, and food allergies will react within 30 minutes. In contrast, type IV allergies react much more slowly, with symptoms not appearing until a day or several days later. For example, allergies to decorative objects and many types of occupational allergies. Therefore, people call it "delayed allergy".

Why do I feel itchy and numb all over my body as if ants were crawling on it? The antigen that triggers an allergic reaction is called an allergen. There are thousands or even tens of thousands of antigens that cause allergic reactions. They sensitize the body through inhalation, ingestion, injection or contact. Common allergens are introduced as follows: A. Inhaled allergens such as pollen, catkins, dust, mites, animal dander, oil smoke, paint, automobile exhaust, coal gas, cigarettes, etc. B. Ingested allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, shrimp, beef, mutton, seafood, animal fat, foreign protein, alcohol, drugs, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, sesame oil, flavors, onions, ginger, garlic and some vegetables and fruits. C. Contact allergens such as: cold air, hot air, ultraviolet rays, radiation, cosmetics, shampoo, detergent, hair dye, soap, chemical fiber products, plastic, metal jewelry (watches, necklaces, rings, earrings), bacteria, mold, viruses, parasites, etc. D. Injectable allergens such as penicillin, streptomycin, xenobiotic serum, etc. E. Self-tissue antigens whose structure or composition has been changed due to mental stress, work pressure, microbial infection, ionizing radiation, burns and other biological, physical and chemical factors, as well as self-hidden antigens released due to trauma or infection can also become allergens.
