How to use milk storage bags

1. Pull along the fold line at the top of the zipper seal. 2. Open the zipper seal, open the entrance, and carefully inject the breast milk. Inject breast milk, squeeze out the air in the bag, and then seal the two layers of zippers one by one. 3. When using breast milk, turn the storage bag containing the breast milk upside down, cut it along the dotted line of the seal, and pour the breast milk into the bottle. Please be careful when cutting the curves; use sterilized scissors for this purpose. Breast milk expands when frozen. For safe storage, please keep the amount of breast milk stored below 180 ml. Use a pen to mark the storage date on the breast milk storage bag. Be careful not to scratch the plastic bag.

How long can you store milk in a milk storage bag?

1. Mother's colostrum (milk expressed within 6 days after delivery) - can be stored for 12 hours at room temperature of 27-32℃.

2. If it is mature breast milk (milk expressed 6 days after delivery) - it can be stored at room temperature of 15℃ for 24 hours; at room temperature of 19-22℃, it can be stored for 10 hours; at room temperature of 25℃, it can be stored for 6 hours.

3. If the milk storage bag is placed in the refrigerator, the storage time is generally: 0-4℃ refrigeration can be stored for 8 days; if it is a small freezer box in the refrigerator's refrigerator compartment, the storage period is two weeks; if it is a freezer separate from the refrigerator, but the door is often opened and closed to take items, the storage period is 3-4 months; if it is a deep freezer, the temperature is kept below 0℃ and the door is not opened frequently, the storage period is more than 6 months. It's normal for stored breast milk to break down and look a little bluish, yellowish, or brown.
