From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, our body is covered with acupuncture points, and different acupuncture points correspond to different organs. By massaging the acupuncture points, we can achieve the effect of strengthening the body, which can be said to be a very beneficial operation. When doing Anshan acupressure massage, you should pay attention to the technique and the accuracy of locating the acupoints. Three fingers are mainly used during massage. Let us introduce to you how to do it specifically. 1. Acupressure massage technique According to tradition, three fingers are mainly used in acupressure: thumb, index finger or middle finger. The trick is to press with the pads of your fingers, which increases the pressure and saves effort. Depending on the strength of acupressure, it is divided into tonifying and purging methods. When the body is weakened due to chronic diseases and other factors, generally only light pressure is applied. This is called "tonic method", which means replenishing energy and is a stimulation method to promote the organs to return to their normal state. When the muscles are tense and in severe pain, they are pressed hard. This is called "purgation", a method of suppressing excessive energy stimulation. The pressing time is 3 to 5 seconds, rest for 2 to 3 seconds, and then press for 3 to 5 seconds. Repeat 3 to 5 times for each part. 2. The efficacy of acupressure massage 1. Regulate your emotions Stretch your right arm out straight, with your palm open and facing forward. Use the palm of your left hand to press down the inside of your right arm, from shoulder to wrist. Repeat 6 times, then massage the outside of your arms and repeat 6 times. This will stimulate the acupoints of the heart and lung meridians and help regulate your emotions. 2. Cheer up If you still feel tired or have frequent dreams after waking up every day, you can try the following methods to refresh your mind. Place your arms behind your back, make fists, and lift them as high as possible to your shoulder blades without overexerting. Exhale and tap both sides of the spine down to the sacrum (bladder meridian), then tap upwards. Repeat several times to feel energized and full of energy. 3. Venous return Standing or sitting for a long time will lead to poor venous return in the lower limbs, resulting in swollen ankles at the mildest and varicose veins in the lower limbs at the worst. If you insist on gently rubbing your calves with the palms every day, from the ankles to the knees (where the liver meridian passes). Then apply acupressure to the inner thigh to the groin, and then massage downward along the front of the thigh and the outside of the tibia. This can promote venous return in the lower limbs and eliminate swelling and pain in the ankles. 4. Relax your body Hold your feet with the palms of your hands and use your thumbs to massage the instep of your feet, moving from the area near the toes upwards to the ankle. When massaging, use light force, fast speed and rhythm. Then pinch and release each toe to release any excess energy stored in the meridians. This action can make people relax immediately. |
