Fetal heart rate 136, is it a boy or a girl?

Fetal heart rate 136, is it a boy or a girl?

During pregnancy, women often experience some abnormalities in the fetal heart rate. The causes of abnormal fetal heart rate can be divided into two categories: maternal factors and fetal factors. For example, some pregnant women have placenta previa or premature rupture of membranes, which can seriously affect the fetal heart rate and make it abnormal. In actual testing, if the fetal heart rate is 136, it is within the normal range. So how can we judge the gender of the fetus based on such a fetal heart rate?

Fetal heart rate 136, is it a boy or a girl?

It is unscientific to determine the sex of the fetus based on the speed of the fetal heart rate.

As the name suggests, fetal heart rate is the abbreviation of fetal heartbeat, which can usually be monitored by stethoscope during the 4th and 5th months of pregnancy. In the early and middle stages of pregnancy, the baby's heartbeat is irregular. It is sometimes fast, sometimes slow, and sometimes even stops suddenly. It is mostly in the range of 120-160 beats/minute, and sometimes exceeds this range. This is all normal. In the later stages of pregnancy, the fetal heart rate will gradually become regular. But if the fetus often behaves abnormally, you need to contact a doctor immediately for examination.

The normal range should be 120-160 times/minute, and it should be regular, powerful and neat, just like the sound of a clock. Of course, if the baby moves in the belly, the rate may increase by 10-20 times per minute. If the fetal heart rate is found to be outside this range during monitoring, you can measure it again after 15 minutes. If it is still abnormal, it means that the child may be suffering from hypoxia and needs to see a doctor immediately. If it is accompanied by irregular heart rate, the situation will be more serious and expectant mothers should not be negligent.

Predicting the sex of the fetus

Many people are concerned about the prediction of fetal gender and the factors that affect the gender of the fetus:

1. The impact of nutritional quality

Foreign scientists recently discovered that pregnant women who eat a lot during pregnancy usually give birth to baby boys, and baby boys are heavier than baby girls. Through a six-month observation study on 244 pregnant women, the researchers showed that the secretion of testosterone by the testicles of male babies is the direct reason why pregnant women with male babies eat a lot. In other words, pregnant women with a large appetite have a greater chance of giving birth to a male baby.

Some experts say that the common phenomenon that newborn boys are heavier than girls will help pregnant women identify the gender of their babies during pregnancy. Pregnant women carrying a boy consume more than 10% of their body's calories and 8% of their protein during pregnancy. Pregnant women must replenish their body energy by absorbing large amounts of carbohydrates and animal and plant fats. Research data also shows that male babies in the embryo require more nutrition and energy than female babies.

2. The influence of age

For every 5 years increase in the couple's age, the chance of having a girl increases by 1‰. If the husband is too old, the chance of having a boy decreases. There are more boys than girls born between the ages of 25 and 29, and more girls than boys born between the ages of under 25 and over 29.

3. Smoking reduces the chances of having a boy

Another survey conducted jointly by Danish and Japanese scientists found that whether a couple smokes or not can affect the gender of the fetus. If a couple smokes while trying to have a baby, it may reduce their chances of having a boy.
