How to exercise during menopause

During the menopause period, you must follow some principles in your life, such as adjusting your daily routine, changing some bad habits, and try to adjust slowly through some simple and effective methods to relax the patient's mood. Adjust your mood first, so that you can face exercise correctly, arrange three meals a day, and fight against menopausal symptoms.

Principles of exercise for menopausal women

(1) Exercise time: The morning air is fresh and people are full of energy, which is the best time to exercise. It is not advisable to engage in activity immediately after a meal. You should rest for 1 to 2 hours before exercising.

(2) Precautions before and after exercise: Before exercising, you should do warm-up exercises to prevent sudden and intense activity that may cause palpitations, shortness of breath, fainting, etc.

After exercise, you should do some cool-down activities to allow your body to gradually return to its normal state, which is beneficial for the adjustment of organs throughout the body and can also prevent the occurrence of factors that are adverse to the body.

(3) Moderate movement and rest: Regardless of the type of exercise, the muscles, bones and joints of the whole body must be exercised. However, excessive exercise is harmful to health and can easily cause fatigue and even damage to the internal organs or body.

Therefore, you should pay attention to proper rest when exercising. The so-called moderation in movement and stillness should be based on the principles of "light, soft and steady". In the early stages of physical exercise, it is better to do less rather than more, slower rather than faster, and increase gradually. When exercising, avoid quick movements, rotational or head-down movements, or movements that could cause you to fall. People after middle age should not participate in competitive or intense activities, nor should they do monotonous and repetitive work for a long time.

(4) Perseverance: After middle age, most people are unwilling to be active. After realizing the importance of physical exercise, we must persevere and stick to it; in particular, we must overcome the situation of "fishing for three days and drying the nets for two days" in order to achieve good physical exercise results.
