What causes blisters on hands?

This phenomenon is quite common and is medically called dyshidrotic eczema. Dyshidrosis is a type of skin eczema that occurs symmetrically on the sides of the hands or feet. Because it occurs in the hands and feet where sweat glands are particularly developed, and blisters are the main symptom, it is named dyshidrotic eczema.

Most patients do not have obvious symptoms when they first get dyshidrotic eczema. They just feel a little itchy and do not pay much attention to it! But what I don’t understand more is why I get dyshidrotic eczema? The onset of dyshidrosis is related to many factors, such as sweating of hands and feet, and mental factors such as mental tension, excessive fatigue, and depression, which are often important factors in the onset of dyshidrosis; others such as constipation, gastrointestinal dysfunction, etc. may also be related to the occurrence of dyshidrosis; it may also be an eruptive reaction to active fungal infection; contact with irritating objects, bacteria, food, drug allergies, personal physique, etc. may also be related to the occurrence of dyshidrosis.

Symptoms of blisters on hands

1. The occurrence of dyshidrotic eczema has obvious seasonality. It often occurs at the turn of spring and summer and heals itself in winter. It mainly occurs in young people.

2. It is now generally believed to be a skin eczema-like reaction, which is related to factors such as mental stress, excessive sweating of hands and feet, fungal infection and allergic reaction.

3. Symmetrical occurrence on the palms and soles, deep in small blisters, occurring in batches, with tense blister walls, millet to rice-grain size, hemispherical and slightly raised above the skin surface, visible on the palms, sides and fingertips, with no inflammatory response. After the blisters dry up, they peel off to reveal new skin, often accompanied by varying degrees of itching and burning sensation.

4. Dyshidrotic eczema often recurs regularly every year. Dyshidrotic eczema is related to factors such as mental stress, excessive sweating of hands and feet, fungal infection and allergic reaction.

Patients with dyshidrotic eczema should control their emotions. Keep a food diary to find out if your dyshidrosis is related to metals, and if so, try to avoid it. When the seasons change, use less water and detergent and more cream. This will help treat herpes.
