The relationship between ears and kidneys

The relationship between ears and kidneys

Everyone knows that the ear is an important part of our body. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the shape, fullness and color of the ear are all related to whether the kidney qi is sufficient. When the kidney qi is sufficient, the ear will look particularly full and round, otherwise it will be the opposite. In daily life, you can massage your ears to help nourish your kidneys.

The relationship between ears and kidneys

1. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, "kidneys store essence and the ears open up to the body." In layman's terms, the health of the kidneys can be reflected through our ears. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that rosy and shiny ears are a sign of sufficient kidney essence. People with full, thick and bright earlobes have abundant kidney essence. Otherwise, it means there may be problems with the kidneys.

2. People with kidney deficiency commonly have problems such as tinnitus and hearing loss. For example: pale and dull ears, fear of cold, cold limbs, etc., are mostly manifestations of insufficient kidney yang; red and swollen ears are mostly caused by getting angry; local blood vessels in the ears are too full and dilated, especially the earlobe area, which may be due to abnormal heart function, such as coronary heart disease. Of course, the final diagnosis also needs to take other factors into consideration.

Massaging the ears has the effect of nourishing the kidneys

1. Ear guide

Put your right hand around the top of your head, with your palm on the side of your head. Use your right thumb, index finger, and middle finger to pinch the tip of your ear and pull it upwards gently but forcefully. Do this about 14 times, then switch to the other side.

2. Rub your ears with hot water

After rubbing your palms until they are slightly warm, massage the front of the ears first, then the back of the ears, and finally the auricle. Place your index finger on the inner layer of the auricle and your thumb on the outer layer of the auricle, and knead them together until they are warm. It can dredge the meridians and has a health-care effect on the internal organs of the whole body.

3. Pull the earlobe

Use the thumbs and index fingers of both hands to rub the earlobes to warm them up, massage the earlobes, and then pull the earlobes downwards about 20 times. It can exercise your hearing, improve headaches, dizziness, etc.

4. Pull out both ears

Stretch out the index fingers of both hands, insert them into the two ear holes respectively, rotate 180 degrees, repeat 3 times and pull them out immediately. There will be a "pop" sound in the ears. Generally, pull them out 3-6 times. It can make hearing sensitive.

5. Sweep the outer ear

Use both hands to sweep your ears from back to front, and you will hear a "rubbing" sound. Do this 20 times each time, several times a day. If you persist in doing this for a long time, it can strengthen your kidneys and improve your health.

6. Lift the tragus

Use your index finger and thumb to pull the tragus from the inside to the outside for about 5 minutes each time. The force should be from light to heavy. The pulling force should be enough to relieve pain in the ear. It can relieve headaches, tinnitus and other diseases.

7. Ming Tian Gu

Place both palms tightly against the ears, cover the ear holes with the palms, secure them with the thumb and little finger, and use the remaining fingers to tap the occipital bone, Naohou, Fengfu, and Yamen acupoints behind the head. You will hear a "dong dong" sound in the ears. This massage method can refresh the mind, calm dizziness and improve hearing, and improve tinnitus, dizziness, insomnia, etc.
