How to tear off a Band-Aid without pain

How to tear off a Band-Aid without pain

If the human body is injured and wounds appear in certain parts, they need to be disinfected with iodine tincture and then covered with a Band-Aid. This can prevent the wound from becoming infected and inflamed and promote rapid recovery of the wound. But everyone knows that if a Band-Aid is left on the wound for too long, it will be difficult to tear it off, and it will be very painful when you do. So, how do you tear off a Band-Aid without it hurting?

1. Soak the Band-Aid with warm water, or apply a hot towel to it, and then gently tear it off after a while.

2. Tear the Band-Aid down as far as possible, do not lift it too high, keep it as close to the bottom as possible, and tear it off slowly to relieve the pain.

3. Moisten the Band-Aid with hydrogen peroxide disinfectant, but do not get it above the wound, otherwise it may cause pain.

1: Take a clean cotton swab, dip it in a small amount of baking soda, and gently apply it around the Band-Aid. Then dip the cotton swab in a small amount of water and apply it on the Band-Aid and baking soda. Let the baking soda and water react. Wait for a while. After the baking soda and water react, the Band-Aid will bulge. At this time, just gently tear off the Band-Aid, so you won't feel much pain.

2: If you can't find baking soda around you, you can also apply a layer of hand cream or lotion around the Band-Aid and wait for a while. This will make it easier to tear off the Band-Aid and the pain will be much less painful.

How to use Band-Aid correctly

1. The method of sticking in circles is not advisable

Many people are accustomed to putting a Band-Aid around their fingers after they injure their fingers. In fact, there is a certain danger in using Band-Aids to bandage fingers and toes in a circular manner. If the bandage is too tight, it can easily cause poor blood flow to the fingers and toes, slowing down wound healing. A 4-year-old girl in Suzhou happened to be in this situation. The cloth strips and rubber bands outside the Band-Aid affected blood circulation.

2. Gauze is more reliable than Band-Aids

Unless it is an emergency, you should choose to use gauze instead of a Band-Aid to treat the wound. Compared with Band-Aids, gauze is more breathable, absorbs exudate, and is less likely to cause local moisture and infection. Generally, you can just take a gauze that is 1-2 cm larger than the wound, cover the wound after applying the medicine, and then bandage it with a breathable anti-allergic tape.
