The three years of high school can be said to be the most important three years in a student’s career. The pressure will naturally be relatively high. When you feel that the pressure is too great and you can’t bear it anymore, you should pay attention to proper relaxation. It is best to combine work and rest. You can do proper exercise, chat more with family and friends, try not to stay up late even if you have a lot of things to do, and participate in more outdoor activities, etc., which can effectively relieve stress. 1. Moderate exercise When you are under stress, anxious, chest tightness and irritability, exercise is undoubtedly the best outlet for all the problems that have been accumulating in your mind. For example, you can jog two laps in the playground during breaks, play a few games of badminton with classmates before self-study, play a few games of table tennis with classmates during breaks, or even have a football match with the neighboring class during physical education class. You will find that after exercise, when you are sweating and panting, you will feel more relaxed and less bored. Therefore, it is better to take a small part of time every day to exercise, which not only relieves stress but also is beneficial to your health after sitting for a long time. 2. Talk to someone When you feel anxious and confused, and your efforts are not rewarded for the time being, you can complain to your classmates or friends. You can also talk to seniors who have experienced the college entrance examination. They must have had such moments, so they will understand your mood and know how to counsel you. You can also confide in your teacher and ask for solutions to some problems you encounter. After talking with the teacher, you will feel like you have taken a reassurance, and the tense feeling in your heart will be relieved. 3. Make a timetable A schedule may seem very rigid, but it can help you know what to do and when, and it can make the things you want to do organized, instead of making you feel overwhelmed, anxious and confused about the six subjects. When you complete one task after another in an orderly manner according to the schedule, your inner sense of accomplishment will increase, you will be able to make good use of your time, and your stress will be reduced. Make a timetable according to the school's actual schedule. For example, you can allocate the time for morning reading reasonably, such as a few minutes for Chinese or English, or Chinese on the 1st, 3rd and 5th, and English on the 2nd, 4th and 6th, or you can memorize a certain number of words or recite a certain number of ancient poems within a fixed time. You can make detailed arrangements based on your actual ability. Or you can set aside some time every evening during self-study to do a certain type of question that you are weakest in and that you fear most. Over time, you will find that you will be confident when facing this type of question. Making a schedule can be a good way to relieve stress. 4. Refuse to stay up late Maybe some students will hold lights on and work hard in the middle of the night, but in fact, staying up late is really not worth it. Life in the third year of high school is already stressful and busy, with little time for rest. Your mind is not very clear late at night, and if you still use that time to study, you are kind of missing out on the big picture. Moreover, staying up late will prevent brain cells from getting enough rest, making you dizzy and having difficulty concentrating the next day, and you will not be able to fully absorb the next day's learning. Therefore, you can only continue to stay up late to compensate, which will slowly form a vicious circle. What's more frightening is that staying up late for a long time will lead to memory loss and greatly increased anxiety. Therefore, it is better to cherish the rest time at night, have a good sleep, and devote yourself to study the next day. Wouldn’t it be wonderful? 5. Combine work and rest After studying for a period of time, you don’t have to spend the rare Sunday afternoon off doing exercises. You can invite a few friends to KTV to sing, or invite classmates you haven’t seen for a long time to have dinner together, or go to the playground to play basketball with your classmates (but be sure to pay attention to safety, as getting injured is not worth it). As for me, after a busy day, during the ten minutes of free time after doing eye exercises during evening self-study, I would quietly take one or two friends to the dark track and field, lie on the green grass, look at the starry sky, joke with each other, and breathe in some fresh air. The pressure that had been accumulating in my heart was immediately greatly reduced, and I would be a brave man again when I returned to the classroom. 6. The college entrance examination in 2016 has come to an end, and the results have long been settled. Some people are happy and some are sad. No matter what the result is, you, the young man, wearing a simple school uniform, holding a black pen, endured countless days of gray morning reading, and studied in countless silent nights. You passed the college entrance examination, which means that you learned how to balance the pressure brought to you by family, school and grades, and learned how to keep a normal mind. So when you are in your senior year of high school and feel tired, you must learn to relieve the pressure on you. |
