Tips for cleaning tea stains

Tips for cleaning tea stains

People who love to drink tea know that after a long time of brewing tea in a tea set, a layer of tea scale will appear on the surface due to the material. Tea scale on the tea set will affect the health of the body and even look very ugly, so everyone will try to remove the tea scale to achieve a good effect. So how should tea scale be removed?

baking soda

Tea stains that have been deposited for a long time are difficult to clean. You can soak them in heated rice vinegar or baking soda for a day and night, and then scrub them with a toothbrush to easily clean them. It should be noted that if you are using a purple clay teapot, you do not need to clean it in this way. The purple clay teapot itself has pores, and the minerals in the tea scale can be absorbed by these pores, which can maintain the teapot and will not cause harmful substances to "run" into the tea and be absorbed by the human body.

toothpaste

After soaking for too long, many tea sets will turn into tea color, which cannot be washed off with clean water. At this time, you can squeeze a small amount of toothpaste on the tea set, and use your hands or a cotton swab to evenly apply the toothpaste on the surface of the tea set. After about a minute, use water to clean the tea sets. In this way, the tea stains on the tea sets can be easily cleaned. Cleaning with toothpaste is convenient and will not damage the tea set or hurt your hands. It is convenient and simple, and tea lovers can try it.

vinegar

Pour some vinegar into the kettle and scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush, making sure the vinegar is in full contact with the rust. If there is still some stubborn rust, add some hot water and continue scrubbing. After the rust disappears completely, rinse with clean water.

The main component of rust is calcium carbonate, which is insoluble in water, so it will form on the wall of the bottle. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which can react with calcium carbonate to form water-soluble salt, so it can be washed off.

Potato Skins

The easiest way to remove tea stains is to use potato peels. Put potato peels in a teacup, then add boiling water, cover it, and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Then shake it up and down a few times to remove the tea stains. Potatoes contain starch, which has strong adsorption capacity, so it is easy to remove the scale in the cup.

Lemon zest

Tea stains and water stains on porcelain can be removed by squeezing lemon peel and adding it to a small bowl of warm water and soaking it in the porcelain for 4 to 5 hours. If it is a coffee pot, you can wrap the lemon slices in a cloth and place them on the top of the coffee pot and fill it with water. Boil the lemon the same way you boil coffee, letting it drip into the pot below drop by drop until yellow turbid water drips out of the coffee pot.

Eggshell

Just crush the eggshells, put them into the dirty cups or bottles to be cleaned, then add a few drops of vinegar, shake them slowly, and then clean them with a brush. You can clean the parts that are usually difficult to clean. In addition to tea scale, eggshells can also effectively remove scale. Thermos bottles that hold hot water are prone to scale buildup over time, and since the mouth of a thermos is narrow, it is not easy to remove the scale at the bottom. You might as well put some broken eggshells in a water bottle, add some water and an appropriate amount of detergent, cover the bottle cap, shake the bottle up and down, and finally rinse it several times with clean water. This will effectively remove the scale in the thermos.

Salt

Apply table salt on the inside of the cup, especially where there are tea stains, then scrub the cup vigorously with a toothbrush or your hands, and finally rinse it with clean water. The main component of salt is NaCl. NaCl contains impurities such as MgCl and KCl. The hydrolysis of Mg+ makes the salt acidic. Acidic substances can remove substances such as tea alkali in tea scale.
