How to treat the symptoms of tea drunkenness

China has a very long history in ancient times, and of course tea culture also has a very long history. After humans discovered that tea is a very delicious and refreshing drink, tea began to flow around the world. Of course, China is the birthplace of tea, so tea has a very important role and value in China. So let’s take a look at how to resolve the symptoms of tea drunkenness.

1. What is tea drunkenness?

Intoxicating tea, also known as thealkali, is a stimulant of the central nervous system. Drinking too much or too much tea can easily cause intoxication. Intoxicating tea can accelerate blood circulation, cause shortness of breath, and cause a series of adverse reactions, causing electrolyte imbalance in the human body, and then causing abnormal enzyme activity in the human body, leading to metabolic disorders.

The intoxicating substances in tea are caffeine and fluoride. Some people often experience insomnia, headache, nausea, unsteady standing, trembling hands and feet, and decreased efficiency in fine work after drinking several cups of strong tea. In fact, this is the effect of excessive caffeine.

Severe tea drunkenness may cause muscle tremors, heart rate disorders, and even convulsions and twitching. These are dangerous signals sent by the central nervous system and the person should be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment immediately. Tea contains a lot of fluoride. Excessive accumulation of fluoride in the human body can cause chronic poisoning.

Usually, a cup of 150 ml tea contains about 80 mg of caffeine. Drinking 5-6 cups of tea a day is equivalent to taking about 0.4 grams of caffeine. The maximum limit of caffeine a person can take per day is 0.65 grams. If this limit is exceeded, there is a possibility of harm to the body.

2. What is the cause of tea drunkenness?

The so-called new tea refers to tea made from fresh leaves picked from tea trees in the spring of that year. The freshest tea does not necessarily have the best nutritional value, and many people experience a series of adverse reactions after drinking new tea, such as dizziness, insomnia, weakness in the limbs, stomach pain, bloating, and constipation.

Because the tea leaves have been picked for less than a month and have not been left for a period of time, the new tea contains high levels of caffeine, active bioalkaloids and various aromatic substances, which can easily excite the human nervous system and are very harmful to patients with neurasthenia and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In addition, the content of unoxidized polyphenols and aldehyde-alcohol substances in new tea is also very high. These substances have a strong stimulating effect on the gastrointestinal mucosa. People with poor gastrointestinal function are prone to abdominal pain, constipation, dry mouth and throat and other discomfort symptoms after drinking it.

3. What to do if you get drunk on tea?

If you get tea drunk, you should immediately drink a bowl of sugar water, eat some sweets or drink more boiled water, and the symptoms of tea drunkenness will gradually subside. If you know that you are easily drunk by tea, you can eat some nuts, such as melon seeds, peanuts, etc., in advance if you need to drink tea.

You may want to eat something salty or sweet while drinking tea, such as dates, olives, peanuts, small desserts, etc. Supplementing sodium ions and increasing blood sugar can reduce the occurrence of tea drunkenness.
