How to identify ocular flat warts

How to identify ocular flat warts

In real life, people may misidentify diseases due to their lack of understanding of medicine. The symptoms of many diseases are similar, and it is difficult for people who have not studied medicine to distinguish them. Flat warts are a very common skin disease in which small bumps appear on the patient's skin. Sometimes people confuse fat particles with flat warts around the eyes. Here we will teach you how to identify flat warts on the eyes.

1. Identification of Flat Warts

1 Flat warts around the eyes: They are generally flat papules of varying sizes, slightly raised, with a smooth surface, and are round, oval or polygonal in shape with clear boundaries. They may be densely distributed or arranged in lines due to local scratching. The lesions are generally normal skin color, light red or light brown.

Sebaceous cysts: They are usually small white bumps, about the size of a needle tip, and look like small white sesame seeds. They are usually scattered around the eyes.

2 Flat warts around the eyes: Flat warts around the eyes are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The virus exists in the skin's spinous cells. When the human body's immunity is low, it will take the opportunity to infect skin cells, promote the proliferation of infected cells, and form wart-like lesions.

Sebaceous cysts: Sebaceous cysts are caused by tiny wounds on the skin, and during the skin's self-repair process, a small white cyst is generated. It may also be because the sebum is covered by keratin and cannot be discharged to the epidermis normally, thus accumulating and forming white particles in the skin.

3 Flat warts around the eyes: Scratching the skin at the flat warts will cause damage to the flat warts and the surrounding skin. The virus will infect the surrounding skin and cause the flat warts around the eyes to spread. Therefore, the flat warts around the eyes are usually arranged in a beaded shape along the scratches.

Fat granules: Fat granules do not spread on their own.

4 Flat warts on the eyes: can be transmitted to others through direct or indirect contact with the patient. Direct actions such as shaking hands, kissing, and cheek-to-cheek contact with the patient, or indirect actions such as contact with needles, eyebrow tweezers, combs, and towels used by the patient can lead to the transmission of ocular flat warts.

Sebaceous cysts: Sebaceous cysts are not contagious.
