How to press Fengchi acupoint

How to press Fengchi acupoint

Fengchi acupoint is currently a relatively common acupoint, which is mainly used to treat cervical spondylosis. It can be treated through massage. Cervical spondylosis is a very common disease. After the occurrence of cervical spondylosis, patients should perform self-massage and use some methods to keep muscles relaxed and speed up blood circulation. This will not only reduce the feeling of cervical spondylosis, but also relieve neck discomfort.

Cervical spondylosis is a common disease. In addition to maintaining good living and working habits, you should also do more functional exercises and self-massage. Correct acupoint massage can relax the neck muscles, accelerate blood circulation, dredge the meridians, and promote smooth circulation of qi and blood, thereby alleviating and preventing cervical spondylosis.

According to Chinese medicine experts, frequently massaging the Fengchi acupoint can effectively relieve neck discomfort if you suffer from cervical spondylosis.

First, place the thumbs of both hands on the Fengchi points on the neck (the lower edge of the skull at the back of the head, in the depressions on both sides of the cervical vertebrae, there will be a sore and swollen feeling when pressing), and gently stroke the head with the other four fingers. Press the Fengchi points with the thumbs from light to heavy, 20-30 times.

Then use both hands to pinch the muscles behind the neck, and you can pinch along the Fengchi point all the way down to the Dazhui point (under the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra, the highest bone when you lower your head). You should pinch it continuously for 20 to 30 times.

Put four fingers together and place them on the Dazhui point (Dazhui point is on the neck, below the highest spinous process when you lower your head), rub this point quickly until it becomes warm, and repeat 20-30 times.

Three daily steps to maintain the cervical spine

The stretching exercise of "going to the theater at 10:10" is the "great love" of the cervical spine. The specific method is to stretch your arms to both sides of the body, while lifting them to the position of the clock hand at ten ten, and then lowering them back to the position of nine fifteen.

Rubbing the Fengchi point can relieve cervical discomfort. This point is located at the back of the neck, under the occipital skull, in the depression on the outer edge of two large tendons. While massaging the acupoints, gently rotate your head and neck, and do some shoulder shrugs to relieve muscle tension and fatigue.

Make a fist with your hand. There is an acupoint called Houxi acupoint at the end of the transverse line behind the metacarpophalangeal joint. This acupoint can open up the Du meridian, regulate the cervical vertebrae, benefit the eyes, and straighten the spine. Massaging this point will relieve cervical discomfort.
