How to self-diagnose oral condyloma acuminatum

Genital warts grow in some relatively humid places, but most of them grow in the private parts. Genital warts are caused by a viral infection. Living with genital warts can be very painful. Some people may feel severe pain, while others may feel severe itching. If you have oral warts, you must treat them as soon as possible. Let’s learn how to self-test for oral condyloma acuminatum.

Experts point out that if you want to self-check for genital warts, you must understand the characteristics and symptoms of genital warts.

1. It mostly occurs in young people. The disease progresses slowly, and most patients accidentally discover a painless wart-like growth on their genitals. The average incubation period is 3 months. The initial skin lesions of patients with condylomata are small light red papules, which gradually grow larger and have an uneven, soft, nipple-like lesion surface. Some are cauliflower-shaped, with a stalk at the root, and the surface is moist and dirty gray. For those who have been suffering for a long time, there may be erosion and exudate on the surface, and there is occasional itching and scratching, which may lead to secondary bacterial infection, with purulent secretions on the surface, a bad odor, and pain. In men, it is common in the penis, glans, frenulum, groin, anus and rectum. Penile warts usually occur on the surface of traumatic skin. Condylomata can also occur in the urethra, but they are more common at the urethral opening and occasionally in the bladder. Patients with excessive foreskin are more susceptible to the disease.

2. During the inspection, carefully observe the damage distribution, shape, size, color, surface condition, etc. The characteristic lesions of condyloma acuminatum are typical cauliflower-shaped lesions, which are bright red, light red or a few are dirty gray in color. The diseased tissue is brittle and easily bleeds after wiping. Even for non-characteristic lesions, the surface of the lesions often has a wart-like appearance, is rough or has granular protrusions. Check whether there is a history of unclean sex. Sexual intercourse is a very important way for warts to spread. When self-examining for genital warts, you must be sure to understand whether your sexual partner has genital warts and other sexually transmitted diseases, as well as the type of sexual activity, such as oral sex, anal sex, etc.

Experts say: When conducting self-examinations, everyone must diagnose from multiple aspects and cannot draw one-sided conclusions. If you feel any discomfort, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time. The most correct conclusion can be drawn through doctor's examination and instrument diagnosis.
