Flat warts are a highly contagious skin disease. From a clinical point of view, patients do not feel strong discomfort in the initial stage of the disease, but only occasionally feel a slight itching. After that, the symptoms begin to become obvious, especially on the face, back of the hands and other parts, flat and smooth papules will appear, accompanied by severe itching. In this case, it is necessary to actively and correctly treat it. 1. Early symptoms of flat warts 1. Generally there are no subjective symptoms, but there may be slight itching occasionally. 2. The skin lesions are flat and smooth papules ranging from hat-needle shaped to mung bean-shaped or slightly larger, round, oval or polygonal, hard in texture, and of normal skin color or light brown. 3. It is prone to occur on the face, back of the hands and forearms. The onset is sudden. The skin lesions are more common than normal skin and are often scattered or densely distributed. They may be autoinoculated due to scratching and arranged in a beaded manner along the scratches. The course of the disease is chronic and can resolve on its own. There is obvious scratching before resolution, but no trace is left after healing. 2. Complications of Flat Warts This disease is chronic, and in a few patients it may resolve on its own after 1 to 2 years or longer. There is often an inflammatory reaction at the base of the wart before it disappears, and scratching aggravates itching, but it may recur. A very small number of patients may develop cancer. Although the warts are removed, the effect is not good, and many patients suffer from complications such as edema, ulcers, and scars in the affected area. 3. How to prevent flat warts 1. Stay away from ultraviolet ionizing radiation. 2. Stay away from invasive treatments such as electro-ionization, laser, and autologous wart implantation. These treatments are prone to cause "isotypic reactions," leading to difficult-to-remove scars and can aggravate the condition. 3. Stay away from hormone drugs. 4. Drink more water and eat more vegetables and fruits. You can make fruit noodles. 4. Related hazards of flat warts 1. Canceration. Modern medical research has confirmed that any disease caused by infection with the human papillomavirus can lead to cancer. Among them, epidermodysplasia verruciformis has the highest cancer rate, followed by genital warts, and flat warts rank third. Second, it is unsightly and hurts one’s face. Because flat warts only occur in exposed areas, especially on the face, and the skin lesions are unsightly and very damaging to one's appearance. 3. Contagion. Flat warts can be transmitted to family and friends through close contact, and therefore can easily cause estrangement among relatives. |
