Many people suffer from rheumatism, which is very harmful to the human body and can cause many complications. For example, some people experience leg pain after suffering from rheumatism, especially when rheumatism attacks. The leg pain is unbearable. Therefore, patients with rheumatism must pay attention to keeping their legs warm, pay more attention to rest, and develop good living habits. Causes of rheumatic leg pain: Leg pain is often caused by trauma. As the elderly have less flexible legs and feet when walking, trauma is inevitable, which can cause low back and leg pain. The elderly are reminded to stay with their families when going out or doing other activities to avoid accidental injuries. Another possible cause of leg pain is lumbar disc herniation. The so-called lumbar disc herniation is because the various parts of the lumbar disc, especially the nucleus pulposus, have different degrees of degenerative changes. Under the influence of external factors, the fibrous ring of the intervertebral disc ruptures, and the nucleus pulposus tissue protrudes from the rupture to the back or into the spinal canal, causing adjacent tissues, such as spinal nerve roots and spinal cord, to be stimulated or compressed, thus causing low back pain. And produce a series of clinical symptoms such as numbness and pain in the lower limbs. What causes fever associated with rheumatic arthritis? Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, recurrent, long-term disease that affects the synovial joints and manifests as redness, swelling, heat, pain, and dysfunction. Among them, the distal interphalangeal joints are most easily affected, followed by the shoulders, ankles, elbows and other joints. Morning stiffness is very common. Early patients may experience swelling on the back of the wrist, fusiform swelling of the PIP, tenderness, numbness of the fingers, inability to make a fist, or hold heavy objects. Late patients may develop typical hand signs, including lateral subluxation of the hand muscles (MCP) to form an "ulnar deviation deformity", hyperextension of the PIP, and hyperflexion of the DIP to form a "swan neck deformity". Carpal tunnel syndrome may occur when wrist flexor tenosynovitis compresses the median nerve. When the disease affects the shoulder and knee joints, it usually causes the patient to lose the ability to take care of himself. The disease mainly affects the small joints of the hands and feet, and other organs or tissues such as the heart and lungs may also be damaged. The main pathological changes are synovitis of the joints, tissue infiltration, synovial pannus formation, erosion of cartilage and bone tissue, and repeated synovitis, leading to destruction of the joint structure, deformity and loss of function, and ultimately loss of labor force. |
