The eyes are relatively sensitive skin, so if the lower eyelids become red, swollen or itchy, it is generally an inflammation. Anti-inflammatory drugs can be used for treatment. Of course, you must also pay attention to eye hygiene, stay up late less, and protect your eyes as much as possible. If anti-inflammatory drugs don't work, it's best to go to the hospital for a check-up. Of course, if the lower eyelid becomes red and swollen, it may also be due to conjunctivitis. Try not to rub your eyes and seek medical attention immediately. Redness of the lower eyelid is probably caused by an inflammatory infection. It is recommended that you use erythromycin eye ointment to help recovery, or some anti-inflammatory and bactericidal eye drops may also help improve the symptoms. Try to keep your eyes clean and hygienic at ordinary times, and avoid rubbing your eyes frequently. If there is no improvement, you need to go to an ophthalmologist for examination and treatment. Acute inflammation has redness, swelling, pain and other symptoms as its main symptoms, that is, it is an inflammation mainly caused by the reaction of the vascular system. Local blood vessels dilate, blood flows slowly, and blood components such as plasma and neutrophils seep into tissues. The infiltration is mainly centered in the veins, but the infiltration of high molecular substances such as proteins cannot be explained simply by the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the blood vessels and the pressure difference of the colloid osmotic pressure. The role of substances that can enhance vascular permeability is valued. These substances mainly include: (1) Amines such as histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine that can cause immediate reactions after inflammatory stimulation. (2) Peptides represented by bradykinin, lysyl-bradykinin, and methionyl-lysyl-bradykinin. Their common characteristics are that they can cause hyperpermeability of blood vessels, contraction of smooth muscles, dilation of blood vessels, and promotion of migration of leukocytes. The structures of bradykinin and lysylbradykinin have been determined. (3) Proteases such as fibrinolytic enzyme, kallikrein, and globulin permeability factor cannot themselves become agents for vascular permeability. But it can convert kininogen into kinin and exert its effect. However, the site of action of these substances on blood vessels and their mechanism of action are mostly unclear. Histologically, a mixture of vascular exudative reactions and repair processes that occur during acute inflammation can be seen. Infiltration of macrophages, lymphocytes, plasma cells and proliferation of fibroblasts can also be seen. 2. Inflammation can be classified into the following categories based on the main tissue changes: (1) Degenerative inflammation. (2) Exudative inflammation (serous inflammation, fibrinous inflammation, suppurative inflammation, hemorrhagic inflammation, necrotizing inflammation, catarrhal inflammation). (3) Proliferative inflammation. (4) Specific inflammation (tuberculosis, syphilis, leprosy, lymphogranuloma, etc.) |
