A good quality non-stick pan will not easily stick to the pan even if the food is burnt. The burnt bottom of the pan is easier to clean. Just soak it in clean water to soften it, and then scrub it with a soft brush. Never scrub the non-stick pan with hard objects to avoid damaging the lining.

If the paste on the bottom of the pot is relatively hard, or the quality of the non-stick pan is not very good, soak it in clean water and white vinegar for more than 1 hour, then boil it on medium-low heat for ten minutes, and the black paste can usually be cleaned off. Be careful not to add too much vinegar and the soaking time should not be too long to avoid damaging the pot.

If the enamel pot is burnt lightly, you can soak it in clean water for more than two hours and then wipe it with something like coarse cloth. If the food is completely carbonized and stuck to the bottom of the pot, you can soak it in white vinegar and water for about an hour, then boil it on medium-low heat for ten minutes, and then use a tool such as a scouring pad to scrub it. Try to avoid using hard and sharp tools such as steel wool to avoid damaging the enamel layer.

The cast iron pan is relatively lightly burnt, so you can just scrub it with a steel wool. If the rice is severely burnt, use a blunt knife to scrape off the black rice crust, then clean it again with a steel wool. Note that after wiping off the burnt bottom of the cast iron pan, do not use too much detergent or other degreasing detergent to clean it, otherwise the iron pan will lose the oil film protection and become prone to rust.

Clay pots are less likely to stick to the pot, and if the bottom of the pot is burnt during cooking, the rice crust will often not be completely carbonized. Therefore, if the clay pot is only slightly burnt, just soak it in clean water, and then scrub it when the crust is soft; if it is severely burnt, soak it in white vinegar and then boil it, which will often soften the black crust and you can then scrub it with a scouring pad or something like that. If the bottom of the pot is completely carbonized, you have to use hard methods, such as scrubbing it with steel wool or scraping it with a dull knife. Note that when scrubbing hard objects, do not use brute force to avoid damaging the pot.

If a large area of ​​the aluminum pot is slightly burnt, add water and bring to a boil, then add onions, lemons, or bamboo shoots and simmer for more than ten minutes to remove the burnt marks. If the aluminum pot is moderately burnt, you can use scouring powder to scrub it. If you don't have scouring powder, you can use incense ash, white wood ash or fine sandpaper to scrub it. Try not to scrub aluminum pots with steel wool as it can easily leave scratches. Only use a cleaning ball when the pot is severely burnt. If it is severely burnt, you can also use charcoal, cuttlefish bone or fine sandpaper to scrub it. Aluminum pots usually get burnt, and the burn marks can be easily removed by scrubbing with vinegar, but it is easy to corrode the pot, so it is generally not recommended.

Stainless steel pots should not be scrubbed with sharp or hard tools as this will scratch the bottom of the pot. Good quality acid and alkali resistant stainless steel pots can be washed by soaking in white vinegar or alkali. Stainless steel pots of poor quality should not be washed with acid or alkali, as this will corrode the pot wall. It is difficult to distinguish the material of stainless steel with the naked eye, so if a stainless steel pot is burnt, it is best to clean it with a stainless steel cleaner.
