Pus and odor from the ears

Pus and odor from the ears

The ears help people hear sounds and enjoy beautiful music. They also allow people to communicate with relatives and friends and listen to others. The ears are extremely important. If there is a problem with the ears, people’s lives will be greatly affected, so it is necessary to pay attention to the health of the ears. Sometimes people find pus coming out of their ears. What causes the pus to have a bad smell?

1 For the sake of our own health and to prevent ear diseases, we must be careful when washing our hair and try not to let water enter the ears. We should also eat less spicy, greasy and irritating foods, and it is best not to eat seafood such as squid and shrimp. Eat a varied diet and eat more foods rich in vitamins.

2 Most of the above-mentioned situations are caused by ear inflammation, which can be mainly divided into external otitis, periostitis, and otitis media. Different inflammations must be treated differently. External otitis is slightly milder, and it mainly depends on the infection, the structure of the drug and its systemic use. For periostitis, some bullae need to be drained.

3 Purulence in the ear is often a symptom of otitis media. The best way to prevent pus in the ear is to prevent otitis media:

After a cold, inflammation of the pharynx and nose spreads to the Eustachian tube, causing congestion and swelling of the pharyngeal opening and mucosal cavity of the Eustachian tube, and cilia movement disorder. Pathogenic bacteria take advantage of this opportunity to invade the middle ear, causing otitis media. Common pathogens are mainly pneumococci, Haemophilus influenzae, etc. Therefore, preventing colds can reduce the chance of otitis media.

Incorrect nose blowing method can also lead to otitis media. Some people often pinch the nostrils on both sides with two fingers when blowing their noses, and blow the snot out forcefully. This method of blowing the nose not only cannot completely blow out the snot, but is also very dangerous. The snot contains a large number of viruses and bacteria. If both nostrils are pinched and blown forcefully, the pressure forces the snot to be squeezed out to the posterior nasal aperture, reaching the Eustachian tube and causing otitis media. Therefore, the correct method of blowing the nose should be advocated: press one nostril with your fingers, blow out the snot from the opposite nostril with a little force, and then blow the other side in the same way. If the nasal cavity is blocked and the snot is difficult to blow out, you can first use chlorane nasal drops to drip into the nose, and then blow after the nasal cavity is ventilated.

Note:

After the ear becomes inflamed, you must pay attention to your diet. Do not eat spicy, greasy or irritating foods, and do not eat seafood, as these can make the condition worse. Your diet must be diversified and you must exercise. The most effective way to exercise is to insist on morning jogging, which can enhance your body's immunity.
