Early symptoms of prosthesis infection

Early symptoms of prosthesis infection

There are generally two methods of rhinoplasty in beauty salons now. One is to make the nose bridge higher by implanting silicone into the nose bridge, and the other is to make the nose bridge higher by thread carving. The two methods each have their own advantages, but there are certain risks involved during the operation. Many cosmetic surgeries will cause various phenomena due to late infection. So what are the early symptoms of prosthesis infection?

Although prosthetic rhinoplasty is a routine plastic surgery, there is a chance of infection as long as it is a surgery. What are the symptoms of rhinoplasty infection? How to avoid it? I will explain it to you in detail today.

Symptoms of rhinoplasty infection!

1. Redness: Redness after prosthetic rhinoplasty is normal if it occurs within half a month after the operation. If the redness of the nose bridge or nose tip does not subside after half a month, it is a symptom of infection after prosthetic rhinoplasty.

2. Swelling: After rhinoplasty surgery, obvious swelling is normal within 20 days. However, if the swelling has not subsided after 20 days, or if the swelling recurs after it subsides, you should be careful and check for infection during the rhinoplasty surgery.

3. Purulence The most serious symptom of infection in prosthetic rhinoplasty is pus discharge from the incision of the prosthetic rhinoplasty. This situation is mainly because the redness of the nose has not subsided and the swelling has become more obvious, which leads to a decrease in the resistance of the nose, allowing bacteria to multiply too quickly and causing yellow liquid to flow out of the nose. But when this happens, it needs to be dealt with quickly.

4. Fever After the symptoms of prosthetic rhinoplasty infection appear, the body will be accompanied by fever. When the redness and swelling of the nose do not subside, if not treated in time, the infection and inflammation are likely to spread, causing the body's resistance to decline. Causes the body to develop a fever.

How to treat rhinoplasty infection?

1. If the redness and swelling persist after the anti-inflammatory prosthetic rhinoplasty surgery. First of all, we need to quickly reduce inflammation. If it is just ordinary redness and swelling that does not go away, take antibiotics for a week to resist bacterial infection, and then treat it according to the situation after one week. If redness and swelling are accompanied by pus discharge or fever, we will need to give anti-inflammatory injections for three consecutive days before doing follow-up treatment.

2. Removal of the prosthesis when a serious infection occurs during prosthetic rhinoplasty and cannot be resolved by taking oral antibiotics. We need to perform surgery immediately to remove the nasal prosthesis and then clean the nasal cavity. This is the only way to prevent the infection from getting worse and to avoid damaging the body's immune and defense capabilities.

3. The recovery time is prolonged. If the prosthesis of prosthetic rhinoplasty is removed due to infection, then we need to take anti-inflammatory injections for three consecutive days after the prosthesis is removed. Then, based on the individual's recovery situation, a prosthetic rhinoplasty revision surgery will be performed again. However, the repair surgery must be performed at least one month after the operation.
