How to correct facial asymmetry

How to correct facial asymmetry

Facial asymmetry is a very serious condition. It not only affects the patient's facial aesthetics, but also affects the patient's speech and nerves. Therefore, patients should receive timely treatment when they experience this condition. When the face is asymmetrical, we must first correct the way we eat and perform massage, and then take medication or undergo surgical treatment according to the doctor's advice.

How to correct facial asymmetry:

1. When eating, try to stop using the masseter muscle on the fatter side of your face, and use the relatively thinner side of your face to chew food. It takes about half a year to see the effect of this method.

2. When you have free time, clench your fists, use the second finger joint to press against the masseter muscle (the place where your cheek bulges when you clench your teeth), and gently massage in circles.

3. Due to various pathological problems that cause asymmetry of the left and right faces, surgery is the only option. Bone grinding to change the face or autologous fat filling are both common methods, but plastic surgery has risks and must be performed in a regular hospital. Professional medical technology has a good effect on postoperative recovery.

Contraindications

1. Although botulinum toxin is not teratogenic, it is best not to be used by pregnant or lactating women.

2. It cannot be used by patients with neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, etc.

3. It cannot be used by patients who are taking aminoglycoside antibiotics. Aminoglycosides include streptomycin, gentamicin, karatomycin, butylcarbazine, tobramycin, etc.

4. It cannot be used for very thin patients because the muscles are too thin and the injection will easily diffuse into the surrounding muscles, causing side effects.

5. It cannot be used by patients who are allergic to albumin or botulinum toxin or patients with allergic constitution.

6. It should not be used by patients with severe heart, liver, kidney, lung diseases or connective tissue diseases.
