Tips to prevent mosquito bites when sleeping at night

Tips to prevent mosquito bites when sleeping at night

Because the weather is very hot now, the mosquito net is not airtight and it feels very irritating, but without the mosquito net there is no way to block the small flying insects and mosquitoes outside. Being bitten by mosquitoes is a very painful thing, so before going to bed at night, in order to prevent being bitten by mosquitoes, you can use these little tricks to deal with it and easily solve the problem of many mosquitoes at home.

Fill an empty wine bottle with sugar water or beer and place it in a dark place. The aroma of the sugar water and the reflection of the water are very attractive to mosquitoes. When the mosquitoes smell the sweetness, they will drill into the bottle and will be stuck to the beer or sugar water and die.

Put the boiled vinegar in a dish and place it in the room without closing the door. You will not be disturbed by mosquitoes all night.

Lighting dry orange peels indoors can replace mosquito coils, which can not only repel mosquitoes but also eliminate odors in the house. Orange peel has a pungent smell, and mosquitoes dare not approach it. The older generation has used this method.

Close the doors and windows, place a basin in front of the window, add water mixed with laundry detergent into the basin, and there will be dead mosquitoes in the basin the next day. Use the scent of laundry detergent and soap to lure mosquitoes to lay eggs. Since laundry detergent and soap threads are alkaline substances, mosquito eggs cannot survive in an alkaline environment. With a short life cycle and inability to reproduce, mosquitoes will naturally become less and less in number, or even become extinct.

Place mosquito repellent plants in the room.

Clean the water tank and change the water every 3 to 5 days, turn over pots and jars, and remove accumulated water from flower pots, waste gas tanks, etc.

There are several open bottles of medicated oil in the room.

Soak vitamin B1 in water and rub it on your body to keep mosquitoes away. Vitamin B1 produces a peculiar smell that mosquitoes hate. Spray it on your body and mosquitoes will stay away from you. This special mosquito repellent can be used safely by pregnant women and children.

Spray some perfume on your body or bedding.

Grind up mothballs and sprinkle them in the corners of the house. (Those with children at home should pay attention to safety)

Plant one or two tomato plants in pots indoors; the smell from the tomato branches and leaves will repel mosquitoes.

Hang a bunch of green onions under the lamp, or put a few green onion segments in a gauze bag, and all kinds of small insects will not fly over.

Cover the light bulb with orange-red cellophane or silk cloth. Mosquitoes are most afraid of orange-red light.

Quick way to relieve itching

If you are still accidentally bitten by a mosquito and you don’t have any floral water at home, there are ways to relieve the itching.

1. Apply soap to relieve itching

When mosquitoes bite, an organic acid, formic acid, is secreted from their mouthparts. This substance can cause muscle soreness and itching. Soap contains sodium salts of higher fatty acids. The sodium salts of these fatty acids become alkaline after hydrolysis and can quickly eliminate pain and itching.

2. Take alkaline water to relieve itching

Applying a small amount of edible alkaline flour water can also quickly relieve itching.

3. Washing powder to remove itching

Rinse the bitten area with clean water, do not wipe it dry, then use a wet finger to dip a little detergent and apply it to the bitten area. It can immediately stop itching and the redness and swelling will disappear quickly. After the redness and swelling disappear, you can rinse off the detergent with clean water.

4. Fresh Purslane stems and leaves relieve itching

Take a small amount, rub it in your hands to produce water, and then apply it to the affected area to relieve itching and swelling.

5. Garlic slices to relieve itching

Use sliced garlic to rub the mosquito bite repeatedly for one minute, which has obvious analgesic, itching and anti-inflammatory effects.

Even if the bite has become a large lump or is inflamed and ulcerated, you can rub it with garlic. Generally, after 12 o'clock, the inflammation and swelling can be reduced; ulcerated wounds can heal after 24 hours. However, people with skin allergies should use it with caution.
