Which acupoints are better to massage for dizziness

If you experience dizziness in your life, you should first find out the cause of the dizziness. Because the brain structure is relatively complex, only by finding out the cause can you better relieve and treat it. If you experience dizziness, you can use some acupoint massage to help relieve it.

1. Hypertension: Dizziness caused by hypertension is mostly caused by emotional changes, mental tension or mental stimulation, which cause blood pressure fluctuations. Some people also abuse antihypertensive drugs, which causes a sudden and drastic drop in blood pressure and dizziness.

2. Otitis media: When the labyrinth is affected, dizziness may occur and examination may reveal perforation of the eardrum and pus discharge. (1) Perilabyrinthine inflammation: mild dizziness, nystagmus, mastoid pain, and normal vestibular function. (2) Localized labyrinthitis: paroxysmal dizziness, aggravated by rotation, nystagmus, nausea, vomiting, conductive ear, and normal vestibular function. (3) Diffuse serous labyrinthitis: occurs in acute otitis media and mastoiditis. Severe dizziness. Nystagmus. The direction of the slow phase and the limb tilt are both toward the affected side, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, incomplete neurological deafness, and vestibular dysfunction. (4) Diffuse suppurative labyrinthitis: Severe dizziness, nausea, vomiting, nystagmus, and imbalance occur in the early stages, with the fast phase of nystagmus pointing to the affected side. After the dizziness stops, the affected ear becomes completely deaf, the vestibular function is lost, the patient falls to the affected side, and the slow phase of nystagmus is directed to the affected side.

If you want to relieve dizziness, it is best to remember the following two acupoints. Frequent massage of these two acupoints is also very good for health preservation in all seasons. Let's see what to do if you feel dizzy or have a headache.

Yintang acupoint is an extraordinary acupoint outside the meridians of the human body. It is also listed as one of the “rejuvenation methods” in “Dharma’s Secret Skills”, which shows its importance.

Operation method: Yintang point is in the middle of the line connecting the two eyebrows. When massaging, place your middle finger on the Yintang point and press it 10 times with strong force. Then rub clockwise for 20-30 circles and counterclockwise for 20-30 circles.

The Shenting point belongs to the Du meridian of the human body and has a therapeutic effect on the nervous system. Pressing these two acupoints has the same effect in eliminating headaches and dizziness and restoring brain vitality. Massaging at the same time will complement each other and the effect will be better.

Operation method: Shenting point is above Yintang point, about half an inch directly above the center of the hairline. The pressing and kneading method is the same as that of Yintang point.
