How often should I use conditioner

How often should I use conditioner

Many girls who love beauty hope to have smooth and flowing long hair. Hair can be said to be a woman’s second face. There are many "back killers" who look beautiful from behind, and a big reason for this is because of their beautiful hair. Therefore, the quality of hair is also a concern for many girls. In daily life, many people use conditioner to care for their hair. However, conditioner is not good for daily use. So the question is, how often should conditioner be used?

It is better to use conditioner every few days

The principle of conditioner itself is to increase fat. Applying oil to the hair closes the hair scales and forms a fat layer, thereby achieving the purpose of softness and glossiness. Using conditioner in moderation does not harm the human body. Therefore, for people with oily hair, it is enough to use conditioner 1 to 2 times a week. People with dry and neutral hair can increase the frequency of use, but it should not exceed 5 times a week, because conditioners are weakly acidic, and there will always be some conditioner that sticks to the scalp and causes some irritation. It is recommended to use 3 to 4 times a week for dry hair and 2 to 3 times a week for normal hair.

Conditioner options for different hair types:

Normal hair: Moisturizing type

For normal hair without any particular flaws, you can choose a moisture-locking conditioner and rinse it thoroughly with clean water close to the scalp temperature.

Dry split hair: moist type

Choose a hydrating conditioner for dry hair, and use it every other day to treat split ends.

Yellow hair: black hair

Choose a conditioner that darkens hair, and use a brightening, deep conditioning conditioner with conditioning ingredients twice a week.

Poor elastic hair: volumizing type

Use a volumizing conditioner that improves hair quality, repairs weak and fine hair, and enhances hair elasticity, and use a nourishing hair mask at least once a week.

Dry hair: Moisturizing type

Dry hair is caused by damaged hair scales in the hair structure, which leads to lack of water and oil. Once exposed to the sun, the hair will easily become dry. In severe cases, the hair may turn yellow, split, become brittle and easy to break. Therefore, when choosing a conditioner, you should pay attention to whether it has a moisturizing effect, so that your hair can breathe deeply like your skin.

Oily hair: Oil control and refreshing type

Oily hair does give people a refreshed feeling when it is just washed, but under the strong radiation of ultraviolet rays, the hair mixed with sweat becomes extremely greasy and sticky, which is unbearable. Therefore, you can choose an oil-controlling and refreshing conditioner to keep oily hair dry and comfortable for a long time.

Fragile hair: Enhanced nutrition

Fragile hair loses its elasticity and becomes brittle and easily broken due to extreme lack of nutrition, so it is best to use a conditioner containing nutritional ingredients to care for it.

How to use conditioner for best results:

1. Before using conditioner, be sure to dry your hair until no water is dripping, and then apply the conditioner. By the same token, the more concentrated the hair care nutrients, such as essences, hair masks and the like, the higher the dryness requirements for the hair.

2. When using conditioner, add a few drops of olive oil and mix them. The hair care effect of olive oil can provide deeper care for the hair.

3. When applying conditioner, do not apply it on the scalp, because conditioner will increase the secretion of scalp oil, causing the hair to become greasy soon after washing. Just apply evenly to the ends of your hair.

4. After applying the conditioner, you can wrap your hair with a towel that has been washed with hot water and is still warm, which will help the hair absorb the nutrients of the conditioner.

5. When rinsing, be sure to rinse cleanly and thoroughly, and no residue should be left on the hair, because the chemicals in the conditioner will clog the pores or cause dandruff after coming into contact with the air, and will also damage the hair quality.

6. The ingredients and formula of a brand of conditioner are often fixed and simple. Therefore, when using conditioner, do not always limit yourself to one brand or one function. After using it for 3 to 6 months, you should appropriately switch to other brands or conditioners with other functions.
