Pustules under the armpits

Pustules under the armpits

Sebaceous cyst is a scientific name, and in real life it is also called cyst. Generally, cysts grow in many parts of the body. When cysts grow, they are obvious in appearance. There is no pain when you touch them with your hands, and the cysts also feel like sliding. Many people ignore cysts when they have no symptoms, and only seek treatment when the cysts show changes such as pain and suppuration.

Symptoms of sebaceous cysts

1. Spherical tumor.

The typical symptom of cortical cysts is the growth of soft or slightly firm spherical tumors on the face which is rich in sebaceous glands. These spherical tumors can be as small as beans or as large as small oranges. These cysts are generally round in shape, located within the skin and protruding toward the skin surface, with the cyst wall tightly adhered to the skin. There may be a small pigment spot in the center, and grayish-white curd-like, smelly contents can be squeezed out from the opening, like white tofu dregs.

2. Secondary infection.

Sebaceous cysts may become secondarily infected, which may manifest as: local skin redness, swelling, softening, increased skin temperature, pain, and suppuration.

3. Sebaceous cysts occur slowly

It is round in shape, has clear boundaries with surrounding tissues, is soft in texture, painless, and movable. Generally no symptoms.

Sebaceous cyst prevention

Areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the head and face, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. If hygiene and cleaning are not paid attention to, they are prone to infection, and local redness, swelling, tenderness, and even suppuration and rupture will occur. Therefore, it is recommended that special attention should be paid to skin care in daily life, attention should be paid to hygiene, and three diligences should be practiced: take a bath frequently, change clothes frequently, and cut nails frequently.

1. Pay attention to the hygiene and cleanliness of your skin .

The most direct cause of sebaceous cysts is the blockage of the sebaceous gland excretion ducts in sebaceous gland-rich areas such as the head and face. The sebaceous gland cystic epithelium gradually increases, causing the contents to swell and cause cysts. Therefore, we must pay attention to cleaning our face and keeping our skin clean in our daily lives.

2. Scratch it when you feel itchy .

When the sebaceous gland pores of the skin are blocked, the skin nerves tend to feel something, and we will feel unbearable itching and want to scratch. If you scratch the itchy area at this time, you can often remove the foreign matter that is blocking the sebaceous gland pores, thus removing the cause of sebaceous cysts in the future and eliminating the possibility of cysts. Many people say that they tend to get small pimples on their bodies. This may be related to not liking to scratch. However, scratching should be done in moderation, and you should never scratch your skin, otherwise it will not be worth it.

3. When the patient finds a cyst on his body

If the lump has grown to the size of a fingertip and shows signs of increasing in size, the patient should go to the hospital as soon as possible and undergo surgical removal if necessary to prevent further development of the lump or infection in the future.

4. If the patient's cyst has symptoms such as redness, swelling, infection, and pain

Patients should go to the hospital for medical treatment in time. At the same time, patients should pay attention to keeping the local area clean and take anti-inflammatory drugs or get injections under the guidance of a doctor to control inflammation.
