Is rabies immunoglobulin safe?

Is rabies immunoglobulin safe?

Normally, animals need to be vaccinated against rabies, and most animals carry viruses and bacteria in their bodies. If people are accidentally bitten by small animals, it is very dangerous if the animal has not been vaccinated against rabies. Therefore, it is still important to pay attention to giving animals rabies vaccines in a timely manner. However, people should still pay attention to safety when receiving rabies vaccination. Because the human body's structure is complex, is rabies immunoglobulin safe?

Vaccination with human rabies immunoglobulin and rabies vaccine is an important measure to prevent the disease in people who are severely bitten by dogs. Rabies, commonly known as "mad dog disease", is a zoonotic central nervous system infectious disease caused by the rabies virus. The main clinical manifestations are hydrophobia, photophobia, dysphagia, mania, etc. It is the only acute infectious disease in humans with a mortality rate of up to 100%. The "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" lists rabies as a Class B infectious disease. Human rabies immunoglobulin is mainly used for passive immunization of patients bitten or scratched by rabid dogs or other mad animals.
