What is the cause of abdominal bleeding

Intraperitoneal bleeding is a common clinical problem. When intraperitoneal bleeding occurs in the human body, there are very obvious symptoms. Generally speaking, the causes of intraperitoneal bleeding are relatively complicated, which is closely related to the role of the disease. If you want to solve the problem of abdominal bleeding, you must find out the cause and prescribe the right medicine, especially carefully discover unusual symptoms. So what causes abdominal bleeding?

1. Appendicitis

In severe acute appendicitis, the mesentery becomes thickened due to inflammatory edema. When ligating the mesentery vessels, the fragile edematous tissue is easily severed, resulting in a loose ligation of the blood vessels. Or the mesentery is broken when clamping, and the blood vessels are not tied tightly when ligating.

2. Ligation of the mesentery

The vascular clamp used to clamp the mesentery became loose, causing the blood vessel to retract. When the clamp was clamped again, the blood vessel was not clamped in place and tied securely. When ligating the mesentery, the surgeon should gradually tighten the ligature under the vascular clamp, and the assistant should also gradually loosen the vascular clamp; if the assistant releases the clamp too quickly, the blood vessel will retract and not be tied tightly. The stump of the blood vessel stops bleeding temporarily due to being squeezed by the vascular clamp, but after the operation the lumen gradually opens and bleeding occurs.

3. Others

During appendectomy, the branches of the appendix artery are not ligated, and the patient may not bleed due to low blood pressure. However, bleeding may occur again after the operation when the blood pressure rises. The ligation is not secure, causing the ligature to loosen and bleed. Bleeding may occur due to inflammatory corrosion or the abdominal drainage tube being placed for too long or being too hard, compressing nearby tissues and blood vessels. The incidence of this type of bleeding is extremely low and the amount of bleeding is also small.

4. Note

Sudden fainting is a sign of hemorrhagic shock. Sometimes it may spray or overflow from the mouth, nose and other parts. The situation is critical and you should go to the hospital for medical treatment as soon as possible. It should be differentiated from hemorrhagic shock, which is manifested by severe abdominal pain. Abdominal puncture can draw out non-coagulated blood.
