National subsidy policy for childbirth

Now the policy has changed and the country encourages people to have a second child. In order to ensure the elderly in rural areas have a better life in their old age, the country provides policy subsidies for rural families with only one child and families with two daughters. This has also alleviated the farmers' concept of "raising children to provide for old age".

The new adjustments mainly include "the number of maternity leave days for insured persons to enjoy childbirth subsidies" and "prenatal examination settlement standards".

Regarding the number of maternity leave days that the insured person can enjoy childbirth subsidies, if the insured person terminates the pregnancy before 4 months of pregnancy, she or he can enjoy 15 to 30 days of maternity leave according to the opinions of the medical organization. The municipal social insurance agency will pay the childbirth subsidy according to the regulations based on the opinions of the medical organization. It is reported that the original maternity leave is "15 days". It can be seen that the newly adjusted regulations have made more flexible rules and also given insured persons a floating range for maternity leave.

Not only that, the newly adjusted regulations further stipulate that if the medical institution has not clearly specified the number of days of maternity leave or the number of days of maternity leave is less than 15 days, the childbirth subsidy will be paid based on 15 days; if the number of days of maternity leave is more than 30 days, the childbirth subsidy will be paid based on 30 days. If the pregnancy is terminated after 4 to 7 months, the woman is entitled to 42 days of maternity leave. If the pregnancy ends after 7 months, she is entitled to 75 days of maternity leave, which is 33 days more than the original standard, which was only 42 days.

The state has implemented a policy of rewarding and supporting rural families with two daughters;

2. Regarding the settlement standards for prenatal examinations, the newly adjusted standards stipulate that the settlement standards for prenatal examinations in the city's first-, second- and third-level designated medical institutions will be adjusted from 1,050 yuan to 1,200 yuan.

Rural couples with two daughters can apply for this subsidy from the village committee. 1. Rural couples are over 60 years old. 2. Both rural couples have rural household registration or are defined as rural residents. 3. Rural couples have not violated population and family planning laws, regulations or policies since 1973. 4. Rural couples have one child or two girls or their children have died and have no children. Rural elderly people who meet the above conditions can apply.

Application Process:

When applying, rural couples bring their ID card, household registration certificate, marriage certificate and other relevant documents, then submit the application to the village committee, and finally wait for approval before receiving the subsidy.
