What causes oral ulcers

What causes oral ulcers

Oral ulcers are a very common oral disease that can occur in men, women, young and old, but are more common in young people. There are generally many reasons for oral ulcers, the most common of which is careless diet, liking to eat spicy, irritating and greasy foods, liking to smoke and drink, irregular work and rest, and some of them are related to physical constitution, poor digestive system, prone to constipation, indigestion, etc. You should pay attention to diet conditioning and regular rest, which can better help eliminate oral ulcers.

You should pay attention to keeping your mouth clean, gargle with light salt water frequently, quit smoking and drinking, have a regular daily life, and ensure adequate sleep. Keep exercising, eat a light diet, eat more vegetables and fruits, eat less spicy, greasy and irritating foods, and keep your bowel movements smooth. Women should pay attention to rest before and after menstruation, maintain a happy mood, avoid excessive fatigue, eat a light diet, eat more fruits and fresh vegetables, drink plenty of water, etc., to reduce the chance of oral ulcers.

You need to be reminded that ulcers in the mouth that do not heal for a long time may become cancerous over time due to frequent stimulation from chewing and talking. Especially in those parts that come into contact with teeth, if there are remaining damaged teeth that have not been removed, or the dentures are not properly made, their sharp edges will constantly irritate and scrape the mucosa, causing ulcers. If the irritating factors are not removed, the ulcers will not only not heal, but will become increasingly worse. This type of ulcer that does not heal for a long time may also be a precancerous lesion, which is very likely to become cancerous. If you often suffer from oral ulcers, you need to pay attention to the above problems.

Causes of mouth ulcers include:

⑴ Prolonged mental stimulation, anxiety, frustration and anger, chemotherapy, physical therapy, blood washing, staying up late, excessive fatigue, sitting in front of the computer for a long time (due to inactivity and mental tension), etc.

⑵ Frequent smoking, drinking, beverages, eating chili peppers and other highly irritating foods.

⑶Exposed to cold, heat and dehydration for a long time.

⑷ Often eat raw, cold, dry, hard, barbecued and other foods.

(5) Eat freshly harvested wheat, corn, sweet potatoes and other grain crops.

(6) Related to the digestive system, such as indigestion, gastritis, and constipation.

(7) For a small number of people, it is related to genetic factors.

(8) In addition, it is related to endocrine disorders. Some people will suffer from oral ulcers before menstruation. Due to one or several of the above factors, it leads to inflammation or endocrine disorders, which in turn cause autonomic nervous system disorders, microcirculation channel rupture and blockage, resulting in a lack of one or several trace elements (VB2, VB6, B12, VC, etc.), causing primary viruses to take advantage of the opportunity to enter, thus causing recurrent ulcers. The oral cavity is the most prone to ulcers.
