Dry stool and anal bleeding

Dry stool and anal bleeding

In daily life, stool can also reflect a person's health status. If the stool is too dry and the anus bleeds, people will be very worried, because it will not only cause great harm to the patient's physical health, but also seriously affect their normal life and work. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand its cause. This situation may be caused by getting angry and constipation, hemorrhoidal bleeding, upper gastrointestinal diseases, etc.

1. Heat and constipation

Dry stool is one of the characteristics of getting a fever, and it is often accompanied by anal bleeding and slight pain during defecation. It is mainly due to the digestion process. Excessive heat causes the local intestinal tract to multiply by a large number of bacteria and invade the intestinal mucosa, causing inflammation. Therefore, you should pay attention to drinking more water and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. Do not eat foods with too many calories, such as sugar, fat, and milk, to avoid "adding fuel to the fire". Drink more honey water or eat bananas, drink lactic acid bacteria, etc. to promote intestinal movement. It is recommended to drink some lactic acid bacteria after each meal for better results. Tobacco and alcohol should also be prohibited.

2. Hemorrhoid Bleeding

Anal bleeding caused by hemorrhoids usually occurs during bowel movements. Blood drips out when the anus is tightened. Sometimes the bleeding is in the form of spurts. For mild bleeding, blood may be seen on the toilet paper when wiping the anus after defecation. The occurrence of hemorrhoids is often related to long-term improper diet, habitual constipation and other factors. In addition to drug treatment, there is no doubt that you need to pay attention to a light diet and avoid getting angry.

3. Upper gastrointestinal diseases

If the stool is tarry or black, the bleeding is mostly in the upper gastrointestinal tract, that is, the stomach and duodenum are most likely to be bleeding. If there is massive bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract, the blood may be bright red due to the short time it stays in the digestive tract. This requires careful identification.

4. Intestinal Tumors

If the blood is purple-red, mixed with mucus, and has a foul odor, the possibility of intestinal tumors, especially rectal cancer, should be considered. Generally, blood in the stool is bright red and in the form of drops attached to the surface of the stool. The bleeding site is mostly in the anus or not far from the anus.

5. Colon Disease

The colon, like the rectum, can also develop polyps and cancer. Diseases such as ulcerative colitis and dysentery can also cause blood in the stool. The blood in the stool caused by these inflammatory diseases of the large intestine is mostly mixed with mucus or presents as blood and pus, and is accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, and tenesmus.

6. Systemic diseases

Leukemia, aplastic anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, hemophilia, coagulation disorder, collagen disease, uremia and some rare infectious diseases such as plague and typhus can all cause blood in the stool. However, in these diseases, blood in the stool is only a part of the whole body bleeding. At the same time as blood in the stool, there will be bleeding in other parts of the body.

To sum up, once the above symptoms appear, you should go to a regular hospital for examination in time, identify the cause, and receive treatment early. Never take it lightly.
