Suddenly humming while sleeping

Suddenly humming while sleeping

Many people will find that some people have bad habits when they sleep in the dormitory, that is, they often snore and grind their teeth, and some people will suddenly talk in their sleep. Although these phenomena will affect our normal rest, they are also uncontrollable, especially when they suddenly hum at night. So what causes the sudden hum at night?

Making strange noises or heavy breathing and holding breath when sleeping at night. This is called sleep apnea syndrome or obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, which is a more complicated disease caused by upper airway obstruction due to some reasons, sleep apnea, hypoxia, snoring, daytime sleepiness and other symptoms. It is prone to obesity, and obstructive lesions in any part of the upper airway can cause this situation. Different treatment measures can be used according to the cause of upper airway obstruction and the patient's physical condition. You can change your sleeping posture and lose weight.

Inappropriate pillows: Large, fluffy pillows may look luxurious and comfortable, but they can cause spinal discomfort. When sleeping, if a soft pillow cannot support the head, the cervical vertebrae and spine will not be able to maintain a natural curvature, causing cervical muscle stiffness and soreness. It is recommended that you use a pillow that is hard enough.

Incorrect sleeping posture: If you wake up with back pain, it could be due to sleeping on your side throughout the night. Sleeping on your side for a long time can cause significant distortion in the hip joint, leading to back and leg pain. To avoid back pain, you can place a pillow between your legs to keep your hips aligned.

Grinding your teeth while sleeping: If you always wake up with a headache, it may be because you have been grinding your teeth or clenching your jaw throughout the night. This symptom can be relieved by massaging your face, for example, gently massaging your jaw area before going to bed and after waking up, or seeing a dentist and wearing a mouth guard to correct the position of your teeth and prevent bruxism.

Drinking before bed: Drinking is more likely to disrupt women's sleep because they metabolize alcohol faster and wake up earlier. Drinking occasionally will not have much impact on sleep, but be careful not to exceed 1 glass and drink it 2 to 3 hours before bedtime.
