Causes and elimination methods of bruised knees

Sometimes we may find a few bruises on our feet or knees for no apparent reason, or some purple lumps in the area. This is actually a manifestation of subcutaneous capillaries rupturing and bleeding due to external force, and bleeding accumulation. It usually takes two weeks for the skin to heal and return to its original state. In order to relieve the pain and restore your appearance, today we provide the following methods to help you eliminate it quickly.

1. Causes of bruises

Bruises are caused by bleeding under the skin. The skin around the human eyes is thin and loose, so it is easy for bleeding to accumulate, resulting in dark circles. A bruise may initially appear blue or purple-black, then slowly fade to brown, green, or yellow.

Bruises can also be caused by blood stasis under the skin. Blood stasis is mostly caused by the rupture and bleeding of subcutaneous capillaries under the action of external force. Because blood seeps into the subcutaneous tissue from ruptured capillaries. So we can see a bruise on the intact skin. At this time, the blood that has seeped into the subcutaneous tissue is considered a foreign body, and there are abundant nerves under the skin. So the pain is obvious. 24 hours after the bruise occurs, you can apply warm compress to the affected area. To promote local blood circulation and promote the dissipation of blood stasis. Generally, the body will slowly absorb the subcutaneous blood clots, which takes about two weeks.

2. Elimination methods

If you accidentally bump into something or sprain your ankle during exercise, the injured area will suddenly become red and swollen, and soon shocking black and white areas will appear. If you want to use hot compress or local massage to relieve swelling immediately after an acute injury, this is wrong. In the end, the hot compress will cause the local capillaries to dilate, which will only lead to an even more unsightly scene; and the massage at this time actually becomes a repeated injury, which will leave difficult-to-treat sequelae.

Apply a towel wrapped in ice to the injured area as soon as possible, for 20 to 30 minutes each time. It can not only stop bleeding and relieve pain as quickly as possible, but also cause local capillaries to contract, effectively reducing swelling.

If the sprain lasts for more than 3 days, hot compress can be used to improve blood and lymph circulation in the injured area and facilitate the absorption of congestion and exudate in the injured area. Apply a towel soaked in hot water or hot vinegar to the injured area and change it every 5 to 10 minutes. Do it 1 to 2 times a day, each time for about 30 minutes.
