Mites exist in many places where we live. Mites are widely distributed in dark corners of the house. Mites like humid, high temperature, cotton and linen fabrics, and dusty environments. Mites are a kind of micro-pests that are not easily seen by the naked eye and are closely related to human health. In our daily life, it is difficult for us to avoid mites, so we can only find ways to remove them. Here are some simple ways to remove mites:

Twelve ways to remove mites from your home:

The bedroom is the main place for people's family life and it is also the largest parasitic place for dust mites. First of all, it is most important to take effective measures to control dust mites in the bedroom. Dust mite levels can be greatly reduced by taking the following steps:

(1) Put the pillow, mattress and quilt into the anti-mite quilt cover and zip it up before use. Isolating people from dust mite allergens not only prevents internal dust mites and dust mite allergens from penetrating the isolation material and feeding on human dandruff, but also prevents external dust mites from entering mattresses, pillows and bedding to reproduce, thereby achieving the purpose of controlling dust mites.

(2) Wash bedding in hot water above 55°C every one to two weeks;

(3) Avoid using carpets as much as possible;

(4) Do not use stuffed furniture (such as fabric sofas) but use wooden furniture or leather sofas.

(5) Always keep the room well ventilated;

(6) Try to simplify the bedroom layout to facilitate dust removal. Do not place flowers, trees or too many books in the bedroom;

(7) Do not place tapestries or other items that easily accumulate dust;

(8) It is best to use blinds instead of fabric curtains. If you must use fabric curtains, they need to be cleaned frequently.

(9) Keep clothes in the closet and do not hang them indoors for a long time to accumulate dust;

(10) Because dust mites like to live in humid environments, the humidity index should be controlled below 50% by using air conditioning;

(11) Patients who are allergic to dust mites are advised to wear dust mite masks and wipe the dust with dust mite-removing rags when cleaning, and develop the habit of "wet work" to reduce the chance of dust floating in the air and being inhaled;

(12) Ordinary vacuum cleaners will re-diffuse tiny allergens into the air when removing dust, making the environment worse. Therefore, you should use a high-efficiency vacuum cleaner that can filter allergens to remove dust regularly to achieve the purpose of "vacuuming without exhausting dust."
