What are some tips for cleaning oil stains on suede?

Oil stains are one of the most common stains in life, and they are very sticky. Once they adhere to clothing, they are difficult to remove. They also have a strong adhesion to fur products, which can cause the fur products to deteriorate and become ugly. Therefore, how to remove oil stains from suede leather is an issue that people are very concerned about. Let’s take a look at some tips for cleaning oil stains from suede leather.

Method 1: Mix a small amount of dishwashing liquid (1 part), an appropriate amount of vinegar (1 part), and clean water (50 parts, temperature 30~40°C) to make a cleaning solution. Then dip a shoe brush in the solution and carefully scrub the surface of the shoes. When the surface of the shoes is basically clean, wash the oil stains 1 to 2 times with clean water, and place the shoes in a cool and ventilated place until they are half dry.

Method 2: It is recommended to use a special cleaner for suede leather shoes, such as the matte leather shoe cleaning, care and renovation spray set. Shake well and apply it to the oily stains of suede leather shoes. If the suede leather shoes are stained with oil, use the rubber side of a shoe brush to repeatedly brush them to remove the stains on the fiber surface. Focus on rubbing the stain in circles, then rub with the copper wire surface. Soak up dirty foam with a damp sponge. Let it dry for more than ten minutes. When the fur is slightly dry but still damp, use the rubber side to brush it in one direction to spread out and tidy up the fur. Let it dry for half an hour. After cleaning the suede shoes, let them air dry for another half an hour. After the shoe uppers are dry, stuff newspapers inside the shoes for protection and spray the renewer evenly at a distance of 15 cm from the shoes. If suede shoes are oiled, they need to be renewed. The purpose of spraying renewal agent is mainly to replenish color. How to clean oil stains and maintain suede shoes is so easy.

Method 3: Tools/Materials: hair dryer, brush (toothbrush is used here), shoe stretcher (can also be supported by hands), detergent, silk cotton or sponge.

1) To remove dust from the shoe surface, you can use strong cold air from a hair dryer to blow it away.

2) Use your hands or a shoe tree to prop up the shoe surface, and then use a soft toothbrush to brush the shoe hair in one direction.

3) Wipe the shoe surface with a piece of silk cotton dampened with water. Then spray the cleaner on the surface. Use a toothbrush to brush back and forth repeatedly to dissolve and remove the stains on both sides of the shoe upper fiber, and absorb the dirty foam with a damp sponge.
