How to clean a non-stick pan

Nowadays, many families use non-stick pans when cooking, but many families find that the non-stick pans will stick to the food after using them for a while, and then complain that the non-stick pans they bought are fake. In fact, there is another reason for this. In fact, you need to pay attention to the maintenance of non-stick pans. Improper cleaning methods will reduce the life of the non-stick pan.

1. Pay attention to the following aspects when using and maintaining non-stick pans:

1. Before using for the first time, tear off the label, rinse with clean water and wipe dry, apply a thin layer of cooking oil (except butter and lard) as maintenance, and then wash before use.

2. Use heat-resistant nylon, plastic or wooden spatulas when cooking to avoid sharp spatulas or metal utensils damaging the surface of the non-stick pan.

3. Non-stick cookware transfers heat evenly, so you only need to use medium to low heat to cook delicious food. When using high heat, there must be food or water in the pot.

4. After use, wait for the temperature to drop slightly before washing with clean water. Do not wash with cold water immediately. If you encounter stubborn stains, you can use hot water and detergent and clean them with a sponge. Do not scrub vigorously with rough sandpaper or metal balls.

2. How can we avoid stains from remaining in the pot? If stains have already formed, how should we deal with them?

Stains occur for two reasons:

1. Use high heat for a long time. These stains cannot be removed, but they do not affect the non-stick effect of the non-stick pan.

2. Accumulation of residual food and grease. These are usually not true stains and can be cleaned thoroughly with hot water and detergent and a sponge.

3. Why is it best to use medium or low heat when cooking with non-stick cookware?

Because medium heat can achieve the best cooking effect. Generally speaking, high heat does not speed up cooking, it just wastes energy. If you use high heat, make sure there is food in the pot, and never use high heat to dry-bake the non-stick pan.

4. Will the non-stick layer of a non-stick pan fall off? How can I avoid it?

In addition to long-term improper use, frequent scratching with sharp tools or drying with high heat can also cause the coating to fall off. The non-stick layer of a qualified non-stick pan usually does not fall off.

5. Are non-stick pans suitable for cooking all foods?

The non-stick layer of a qualified non-stick pan is made of an extremely stable material that is acid-proof and alkali-proof and does not easily react chemically with other substances, so you can cook all kinds of food with confidence.

6. Why are some cookware coated with non-stick coating?

The outside is also coated with non-stick coating, making cleaning the outside of the pot just as easy and quick as the inside. When cooking food, even if food juice splashes outside, it will not cause trouble to clean.

7. If the non-stick surface of a non-stick pan is scratched, will it affect the non-stick effect?

Minor scratches will only affect the aesthetics of the surface and will not seriously damage the non-stick properties or affect continued cooking of food. To prevent further scratching of your nonstick pan, simply avoid using sharp utensils while cooking.

8. Is it harmful to the human body if the non-stick surface falls off and gets mixed into the food during cooking?

The non-stick surface of a qualified non-stick pan is absolutely safe and non-toxic. Even if it is accidentally ingested, it will not be absorbed by the human body and the original substance will be excreted from the body, so it is extremely safe. Generally speaking, non-stick coatings will not fall off easily as long as they are used properly.

9. Why non-stick pans have non-stick properties

The non-stick pan is coated with a non-stick coating with polytetrafluoroethylene and other fluoropolymers as the main components, which is applied on the substrate and sintered at high temperature. The coating has good non-stick properties.
