Make blushing and sweating a normal thing!

In life, we all know that people are more likely to sweat and blush after exercise, which is caused by the expansion of capillaries in the skin. The saying "red face and sweat" is not limited to sports, the country has also extended it to leaders and cadres. This implies that "blushing and sweating" among leading cadres can eliminate some bad practices and achieve the goal of building cohesion.

Changing concepts and raising awareness

Awareness precedes action. What kind of consciousness you have will determine what kind of actions you take. In long-term practice, the overall situation of political life within the Party has been good. The Party Central Committee attaches great importance to intra-Party supervision, has taken effective measures, and achieved remarkable results. At the same time, some prominent contradictions and problems have also emerged that need to be resolved urgently. For example, there are still a small number of party member leading cadres in the party who still pursue "liberalism", do not care about anything that does not concern them, keep aloof from others' affairs, and engage in unprincipled harmony and act as "good guys"; there is also a small number of party members and cadres who enjoy formalism, care about the boss's face, care about the relationship with colleagues, care about their own face and prestige, and act as "confused people". As a result, not only do they "not blush or sweat", but they also make the serious political life within the party casual and vulgar.

The fundamental reason is that ideological awareness has not been awakened, and the key is to forget the "original intention", and ideals, beliefs, party spirit and purpose consciousness have weakened. Therefore, in order to make "blushing and sweating" a normal thing, the first prerequisite is to untie the ideological knot, guide party members and cadres to deeply understand the necessity and urgency of "blushing and sweating", abandon the original one-sided and erroneous understanding, and take the initiative to "look in the mirror, straighten their clothes" and "diagnose" themselves with a pragmatic attitude, and at the same time help comrades in the party to "pull up their sleeves" and "lift the lid" with comradely sincerity, so that criticism and self-criticism can truly achieve the good effect of digging deep into the root causes and touching the heart.

Leaders set an example and lead by example

The Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China believes that the key to running China's affairs lies in the Party, and the key lies in the Party's ability to manage itself and govern itself strictly. In a Chinese Communist Party with more than 88 million members, leading cadres are a minority after all, but they are the "critical minority." Leading cadres not only hold important positions and exercise great public power and social influence, but their personal political philosophy, moral character, and governing methods will also have an invisible and huge impact on ordinary party members and cadres. It is for this reason that the "Regulations on Intra-Party Supervision of the Communist Party of China" has a special chapter on the issue of "supervision by the Party's central organization", emphasizing that "the key targets of intra-party supervision are leading organs and leading cadres, especially major leading cadres." In practice, we must firmly grasp the "key minority" of "leading cadres, especially major leading cadres", give full play to their exemplary and leading role, and promote coordination between the upper and lower levels.

On the one hand, leading cadres, especially the main leading cadres, should have a more conscious awareness of "blushing and sweating", "take the lead in putting themselves in", compare their own ideological trends and the work they are in charge of, consciously "whisper in the ears", "pull the sleeves", and "take a bath", and strive to be model practitioners of "blushing and sweating". On the other hand, leading cadres, especially the main leading cadres, should pay attention to creating a "soft environment" of "blushing and sweating". We must "put down our airs", bend down, and understand the ideological trends of Party members and cadres through "one-on-one" heart-to-heart exchanges; eliminate the ideological concerns of Party members and cadres by "one level setting an example for the next level"; "ask more questions and give more reminders in normal times", present more facts and reason more, and actively guide Party members and cadres to self-analyze and identify problems in a subtle way, to ensure that "blushing and sweating" is effective.

Improve the mechanism and keep working hard

Institutional issues are fundamental, comprehensive, stable and long-term, and are the fundamental guarantee for promoting Party members and cadres to "blush and sweat" and "detoxify and cure diseases" on a regular basis. On the one hand, making it a normal practice for Party members and cadres to "blush and sweat" cannot be achieved overnight. It requires strengthening the top-level institutional design to promote overall progress. On the other hand, in order to ensure that party members and cadres can truly "blush and sweat" when participating in intra-party political life, it is also necessary to give full play to the support and guarantee functions of the system. This requires us to give priority to institutional building and constantly improve the systems and mechanisms that reflect the laws of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, conform to the requirements of intra-Party political life, and are conducive to consolidating the effectiveness of "red face and sweating."

First, we must improve the enforcement of existing rules and regulations. The vitality of a system lies in its implementation. Once a system is formed, it must be strictly observed, and everyone must be equal before the system and there must be no exceptions in implementing the system. Therefore, in the process of promoting the normalization of "blushing and sweating" among Party members and cadres, it is necessary to effectively activate systems such as democratic centralism, the Party's organizational life system, the intra-Party conversation system, and the personal affairs reporting system, implement various rules and regulations, and give play to their due restraining, motivating, and punishing functions. Second, we must use the system to inspire and protect the enthusiasm of every Party member and cadre to speak out everything they know. We must not only carry out ruthless comradely criticism, but also help, guide and persuade in subtle ways, thereby giving full play to the cohesiveness of the system. Third, we must establish and improve a regular mechanism. The key to making Party members and cadres "blush and sweat" is persistence. We must dispel the mentality of taking chances among a small number of Party members and cadres, prevent going through the motions and various forms of formalism of "a gust of wind after the rain", and with unremitting determination and perseverance, we must frequently and long-term grasp this issue, so that "blushing and sweating" can become normal and long-lasting.
