I don't know when it started, but people like to make some handmade soaps by themselves. In fact, the most popular handmade soap for health care is goat milk soap. Goat milk is a very good health product and a nutritious dairy product. Drinking goat milk regularly is very helpful to your health. If you use goat milk soap regularly, your skin will become smoother and more tender, and it will become more lubricated. Of course, it also has the effect of delaying aging. 1. Prepare the tools If you want to accomplish something, you must first sharpen your tools. Handy tools are very important for making handmade soap. 2. Preparation of milk alkali liquid First, weigh the required amount of alkali according to the recipe. Secondly, cut the frozen goat milk into small pieces the size of mahjong tiles (the goat milk should be frozen in the refrigerator in advance and frozen into ice cubes in about 3 hours) and put them in a stainless steel basin. Then, pour the weighed alkali into the milk cubes in three to five times, and stir continuously with a stainless steel stirring spoon until the milk and alkali are completely blended into a paste. The successfully prepared milk alkaline liquid should be pure white. If it is yellowish, it means that the temperature is too high during the preparation process and part of the milk is burnt. The only way is to keep the temperature below zero during the mixing process. Adding alkali all at once will cause the temperature to rise too quickly, which is why it is necessary to add alkali in 3-5 times. It is recommended to prepare more ice milk cubes to add them in time to cool down when the temperature rises too quickly. However, it is best not to add too much so as not to destroy the formula ratio, otherwise the milk soap produced may become soft, shrink, and delay demolding. 3. Prepare Grease After weighing various oils, pour them into a larger and deeper stainless steel container to prevent the soap liquid from splashing everywhere when stirring later. If it gets on the table, wall, or floor, it will pollute the environment. Next, you can heat the mixed oil slightly to about 40 degrees. In fact, this is done to make the saponification reaction more complete. Some people say that the temperature of oil and alkali liquid when mixed must be around 45 degrees. 4. Alkali oil mixing & stirring This step is the simplest but also the most difficult, because stirring for several hours is already exhausting enough. First, pour the prepared creamer liquid into the oil (the creamer liquid should not be left standing for too long, otherwise you will find it becomes thicker and thicker. It is best to mix it with the oil in time after preparation). Then, use a scraper to scrape away the remaining milk alkaline liquid in the basin. This is done so as not to disrupt the ratio of alkali and oil in the formula. If some friends want to make alkali-reduced milk soap, then this detail can be omitted. Next, don't forget to time it when you start mixing. Use a giant whisk to stir constantly! Keep stirring! Keep stirring! 5. Prepare the mold If you use a silicone mold, be sure to secure it with a wooden frame because the silicone mold is prone to deformation after being filled with soap. But silicone molds also have advantages. They help to keep heat and are easier to demould. I often use acrylic molds. The disadvantages of acrylic molds are that they are not easy to demold and have poor thermal insulation effects, so they require the use of an insulation box. For acrylic molds like this one, you need to sew the ends with plastic wrap, otherwise the soap liquid will seep out of the gap at the bottom due to gravity, causing pollution and waste. 6. Import soap solution and keep warm After preparing the mold, pour all the soap liquid into the mold at once. If there is a lot of soap liquid, you will need to prepare a few more molds. After importing, use a silicone scraper to smooth the surface as much as possible. 7. Demolding and cutting soap You need to wait enough before doing this step. If you demold the soap bar too early, it will be too soft. In short, it is better to wait a little longer than to demold it too early. If the temperature is high in summer, the demoulding time will be advanced, and if the temperature is low in winter, the demoulding time will be delayed. You need to judge the timing of demolding yourself. Press the surface of the soap with a little force with your hand. If there is no obvious dent and the soap feels hard enough, it is ready to be demolded. |
