Nowadays, skin diseases are becoming more and more common. Many people will develop skin diseases due to various reasons, such as pigment loss and vitiligo. The incidence of this condition is also very high. It is mainly divided into congenital and acquired. Generally speaking, patients suffer from this condition due to the influence of the external environment. Only a small number of patients suffer from pigment loss and vitiligo after birth. Congenital leukoplakia The cause of congenital vitiligo may be due to various reasons during embryonic development. Generally, white patches appear on the skin at birth or shortly after birth, such as achromic nevus, anemic nevus, achromic incontinence pigmenti, etc. The distribution of these white spots is generally limited or has certain characteristics, and the color of the white spots will not be very white. As the skin grows and develops, these white spots will neither fade nor expand significantly after stabilizing. Acquired vitiligo There are many causes of acquired vitiligo. Since the skin is in direct contact with the external environment, the appearance of white spots on the skin may be caused by both internal reasons and external environmental factors, such as sun exposure, chemicals, fungal infections, etc. There are many skin diseases that can cause skin hypopigmentation or depigmentation. Some inflammatory skin diseases can cause white spots on local parts of the skin. These white spots usually occur before other inflammatory skin diseases, such as eczema and psoriasis, which destroy the melanocytes in the basal layer of the skin and cause skin depigmentation. Achromatopsia can be localized or generalized. Congenital achromatic agenesis can be localized, such as anemic nevus, amelanotic nevus and amelanotic incontinence pigmenti, or it can be systemic, such as albinism and mottled disease. However, once these pigment-depleted white spots are fully formed, their extent will not change significantly. The distribution of acquired pigment loss varies depending on its cause. For example, solar leukoplakia is distributed in areas exposed to sunlight; simple pityriasis is mostly located on the face; tinea versicolor is mostly located in areas of the trunk with more sebum secretion; and occupational leukoplakia is mostly located in areas exposed to chemical substances. Some white spots can spread all over the body, such as syphilitic white spots and senile white spots, but these white spots are relatively consistent in size and will not merge into patches. Pigment loss is a skin disease with many causes. Pigment loss itself has little impact on health, but if it is caused by some malignant causes, it needs to be controlled and treated. Pigment deficiency brings not only physical torture to people, but also psychological burden. Achromatopsia can occur at any age and in both sexes. Especially for teenagers, pigment deficiency seriously affects their psychological growth. Becoming withdrawn, sensitive, inferior, introverted, and even developing violent tendencies. |
